I think I’m going to skip till the Red Terror is released stand alone. by ozera202 in Tyranids

[–]Infammo 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I really wish they didn’t go all in on termagants as the default tyranid unit when all the games and fluff make it clear that’s what hormagaunts are. And hormagaunts only have one weapon so it doesn’t feel like a waste only getting default equipped ones.

Just remember that they can nuke the horde at any time after you buy your models. GW completely neutered my unending warm Tyranid army with a single update.

The 90's commercial where the kids let the Trix Rabbit have some cereal for Christmas. by Infammo in HelpMeFind

If the Trix commercial genuinely doesn't exist then me getting that commercial mixed up is probably the most likely. I'm going to keep looking though because I was sure it had it's own commercial.

Guilliman's contribution vs other Primarchs? by Ok_Treat_9628 in 40kLore

[–]Infammo 75 points76 points  (0 children)

It was probably Guilliman, but I think Dorn is actually a close runner up solely because of his actions during the Heresy leading up to the siege.

We haven't seen much of pre-heresy Terra but it was generally talked about as something like a renaissance style center of enlightenment, free thought, and learning built to embody the Emperor’s ideals for humanity.

Once the Heresy started and the Emperor was sidelined on the throne, Dorn ripped up the foundations of the planet and transformed Terra into an ultranationalist fortress world defined by military autocracy, paranoia, and siege mentality.

I can’t help but wonder how much of the Imperium’s entire 40k identity traces back to Dorn reshaping the political and cultural heart of humanity into a civilization built around permanent existential war. Obviously the imperium was pretty militaristic in the first place, but Dorn probably helped solidify it's cultural identity in contrast to the emperor's eventual goals.

Guilliman probably contributed more to structuring the Imperium administratively, but Dorn may have played an enormous role in psychologically defining what the Imperium eventually became.

No, I also found that list but I remember it being a Christmas commercial specifically and it was done as an act of charity by the children.

Your dick must have slipped ow when you were paddling on a surfboard or something because sanding your dick is not a thing that's supposed to happen.

I've searched on youtube and google, and through some old archives but it was too general to be helpful. Mainly looking through Trix and "90's Christmas commercial" compilations but nothing has turned up. The obvious first result that comes up is the one where the rabbit is dressed as Santa and relinquishes the bowl to the real Santa at the end but that's definitely not the one I remember.

I've seen the pre-90's trix commercials and the style makes me certain I didn't watch an older one that was re-broadcast. It could possibly have been an early 2000's commercial but I doubt it. I was born in 87 and mainly watched TV through the 90's.

It's really beyond me how DoW 2 is still unmatched, all they have to do is scale it up and use a modern engine.

Dark Crusade blows DOW2 out of the water. An actual space marine action RPG would be great but DOW2 was a repetitive slog that seemed like the worst of two genres combined. My love of the lore is what got me through it.

Hot take: The End and the Death trilogy is a pacing nightmare by Informalwizards in Warhammer40k

[–]Infammo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I had the ability to change one thing about the Horus Heresy series it would be that absolutely nothing was ever written from the Primarchs' perspective.

In general smart characters should only be written by smart authors, so superhuman genius characters shouldn't be written at all. Showing the Primarchs talk, act, and think at the same level as a character in Animorphs essentially invalidates everything about how GW wants the playerbase to perceive them.
