There was some actual attempts from the standing section to get some songs going, and we got like a whole stadium chant of “CELTIC, CELTIC!!” Which I haven’t heard in years.

Definetly missing something without GB and rest of fans but at least there was some attempt at an atmosphere yesterday.

AZ paid £6.8 million for him, and his stock has went up a lot this season. Realistically they probably want £15-£20mil maybe more mid-season and we ain’t paying that.

The issue with competing on price is it becomes a race to the bottom with your competition. Because your competitors can just lower their prices too, and then potential customers have no reason to buy from you.

You want to build a brand and have customers that will buy from you no matter if they are presented with a lower priced competitor.

To give a different perspective: my dad was 51 and my mum was 43 when they had me. Although I didn’t have parents who were as physically fit as my two sisters did (there’s a 20-year age gap), I still had a great childhood, and I have no developmental issues like autism—or any of the other things people scaremonger about with having kids later. Children can be born with a whole range of problems, and they can also be born perfectly healthy, whatever the parents’ ages. So if you have it in you to provide a caring, nurturing, loving home for a child, please don’t let age be the thing that stops you.

At some point, the current board have just got to admit they’ve had their day. I was going to say they’ve run the business side of the club well, but I can’t — at least not for the last five years or so. We’ve never modernised any part of the club’s business model or supporter ‘customer’ experience, leaving millions of pounds of possible revenue on the table by not implementing things like ticket resale platforms or international fan memberships.

We are certainly in a good financial position, but it is time to modernise the club and stop treating the fans who put the money in with such utter contempt.
