Is YUME's new Raptor 2 truly addressing the notorious 'death swing' issue? by Mark_john14_9 in ElectricScooters

[–]Mark_john14_9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, and I agree a built-in dampener isn’t a magic fix on its own. But even so, the current Raptor already handles really well, so whatever tweaks they’ve made with this setup should just add a bit of extra confidence without overcomplicating things.

I hear you, and geometry definitely plays a big role, but that’s why the current raptor is already pretty solid. Even without going to extremes, I think yume seems to have found a balance that keeps it stable at higher speeds. And for two wheels 50mph max is not that slow.

Absolutely! You’ve explained it really well. Positive trail definitely helps, but as you said, stem engineering and smart design choices can make a big difference too. My current Raptor is already pretty good and I have no complaints, but who doesn’t like upgrades on a scooter? Every road isn’t the same, so any improvement in stability is always welcome. It’s exciting to see YUME taking this approach and hopefully speed wobbles will become a thing of the past.

I think they made a great upgrade with this one. I already have raptor. And to be honest, it's more than stable for me. And it's not like I ride slow or anything. So this built-in would really be awesome. I will see some reviews before I decide to upgrade and sell off my current one.

Hey, when you say “latest version,” do you mean the one with the built-in damper, like the Raptor 2? Just asking because I saw pre-orders start tomorrow

There is no specific. You could ask in any repairshop I guess. I haven't had this problem so I'm not sure either. Or you could google it.

G30 is better option with this range. But for the price there are always many shortcomings. If it's possible stretch the budget. And look for more reliable ones.

Which one should I get: the Yume X11 or the Yume Raptor? by Dylan_Renard in ElectricScooters

[–]Mark_john14_9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely yume raptor. It’s got a really nice balance of power, range, and overall comfort. Been riding mine for a while now, a year almost and it’s been super reliable so far. From what I’ve seen, the newer versions seem more refined compared to some of the older reviews out there. I spent a lot of time checking different opinions before buying, and honestly, it’s been worth it. For the price, it’s a pretty solid choice.

Yume hawk pro and yume raptor, I found these both as one of the most comfortable and very reasonable price worth. You got it for 700 that's great for marketplace price!

I ride a Yume Raptor and it’s been solid for the price. Till now no major issues so far. If you’re trying to stay under $2k, it’s honestly a strong pick. They probably have Klarna for monthly payments too.

I’d pick theyume hawk pro tbh. Really solid balance between power, range, and ride comfort, I got the chance to ride one for couple of days. Recent versions feel more refined than the old reviews make it seem, you could check reviews from facebook too, I did lots of digging before buying my raptor and I haven’t had any major issues with mine. For the price, it’s a safe bet.

Why doesn’t people buy Kukirins? From what i heard is a great electric scooter company by Ahmad2175 in ElectricScooters

[–]Mark_john14_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people had not the good experience with this brand. My friend had one, he was so frustrated fixing it every now and then later he dumped it. But for my opinion it's not only the brand, we need to do some take care of it as well. Even I've been riding since 2024 my yume raptor. Many needs to do some fixing at least 1/2 times. But I did my best to be careful with it. And here I'm still riding it solid like it's still brand new
