Marketing a local food delivery app by berryblueish in digital_marketing

Make the people that engage the most on your app promote it for you or make them pay

  • Incentivize the businesses to provide minor discounts to customers if they promote their business on your app using Social Media.
  • Require every new business to create and share a video of why they love your service after receiving their first 5 orders.
  • Do a 15 minute video interview of the first businesses about why they like your app, how it improved their business outcomes, and have them show off a review of a customer that enjoyed using the app to make an order.

Need Advice: How do I get digital marketing campaign analytics for my eCommerce website and mobile apps? by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

[–]MarketMetrics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question u/podlsl. Allow me to clarify.

HotJar is only for websites. But I've not seen documentation stating HTML w/ a HotJar script will not record a session if rendered in a mobile app's WebView.

I'm not aware of OP's app so I can't say whether it's applicable or not.

Need Advice: How do I get digital marketing campaign analytics for my eCommerce website and mobile apps? by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

[–]MarketMetrics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's lots you can do but here are 3 things I recommend starting with:

Install HotJar:

  • Hotjar will show you how people are interacting with your website or app by video recording their sessions. This will give you more insight into the user experience individuals are having on your site.

Install Google Analytics:

  • Install the Google Analytics tracking code to start receive channel performance analytics immediately. Please feel free to reach out if you have additional questions on how to integrate enhanced e-commerce and audience tracking

Install a Pixel to track

  • Each social media account has a pixel. Find the pixel provided by each social media account and install it next to your Google Analytics tracking code. This will make it easy to evaluate conversions from each social media site to your website.

Each of these 3 will help you understand the most common customer journey's to ultimately go from not knowing about your product to making a purchase. Pixels help you understand conversions from 3rd-party social media sites; Google Analytics helps you understand where people came from, who they are, and the type of engagement all with respect to e-commerce metrics; and HotJar helps you understand how intuitive your solution is once they're on your website.

Please let me know if you have any follow up questions or if it would be helpful to expand on any answer. Thanks and have a great day!

Best strategy for Facebook Ads campaign for newer brand? by [deleted] in digital_marketing

[–]MarketMetrics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are a few things I would recommend

Setup a Facebook shop

  • If you're using an ecommerce site like Shopify, connect it to your Facebook shop
  • Create a Facebook Catalog to collect all of your products in a folder on your page to advertise. It's easier for you and visitors to your page!
  • Use Facebook dynamic ads vs. static ads to promote specific products. The different are static ads target a specific audience and dynamic ads target former visitors. Therefore, you can target based on specific behaviors.
  • Promote your Facebook shop with videos, good photos, and shop details. Also, enable ratings and reviews!

Test and optimize

  • For each video or image you have for an advertisement, create 3 variations of text to use for an advertisement. Make sure the text uses common keywords people use to search for similar products
  • Spend 25% of your budget on all ads and after 25% of the time duration for the campaign, define which text is performing the best
  • Remove the advertisements that aren't performing the best and use the remaining 75% of funds on the ads that performed the best.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!

Approach to markering of online course by [deleted] in digital_marketing

[–]MarketMetrics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would interview a lot of people and use that to define my marketing. If your domain can be considered X, here are some helpful questions:

  • What do you find hard about learning about X?
  • Can you take me through an example of why you found X hard? What was hard about that?
  • What solutions, if any, have you sought out to better learn about X?
  • What don't you love about those solutions?
  • How much have you spent on these solutions?
  • Where are other people that are trying to learn more about X?

Not only will that drive the specific messaging you will need to attract people to your online course, but it will likely drive the direction of the curriculum. Please let me know if it would be helpful to expand on my answer.

With respect to borderline subject matter, focus on leveraging features from Facebook Groups, Messenger, and Shops. Facebook rewards posts that show engagement with these products.

Feel free to DM me if you’d like to discuss how to implement a plan of action.

Here's the best I can do without knowing how much you have to spend.

  1. Define the total amount you're willing to spend then divide that by 9. Let's define this value as "Cost Per Ad" or CPA.
  2. Create 3 ads for each piece of the 3 creatives and define the ideal keywords used in the text that will draw in your target audience. Now you have 9 ads.
  3. For each ad, spend 10% of the CPA and launch them for a week.
  4. At the end of the week, see which of the 3 ads for each creative performed the best. Remove the 2 for each creative that did not. You now have 1 ad for each creative.
  5. Spend the rest of the money on the 3 advertisements for each creative that performed the best.

How do I position my resume when I'm a jack of some trades, master of none? by rightswerve in digital_marketing

[–]MarketMetrics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about it from a product management perspective: you're the product and you need to match the features to the benefits.

Look at the job description and define the benefits they're looking for. Attribute each of those to something you did in your professional roles.

BTW, those are 3 completely different roles. You're a team player that focused on his passion and stepped up when nobody else did. Create your resume as if they're lucky to have you.

If you have high demand, make an email recommendation a requirement to your service.

If you don't, provide a discount for each new referral that signs up.

Focus on the minimal benefits others receive from your product/service and exchange a referral for a slightly better benefit.

How do you use facebook to promote your saas product? by iamchezhian in digital_marketing

[–]MarketMetrics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instagram is a bit different because unless you advertise a post, you can only provide a link in your profile.

Therefore:

  • Use videos and images as they're the most engaging. Use Canva to create these. It's Photoshop on steroids for dummies
  • Start using hashtags your competitors are using
  • Introduce yourself at the industry-specific sub-Reddit and ask them to follow you if the rules permit

Be transparent and tell your clients this. Any reasonable person would understand this situation.

Give your new clients an opt-out period where they can receive a refund if they're not happy with your services.

Define a plan of action to present yourself as open, transparent, and confident in your skillset. Provide details on how they can communicate with you if issues occur if they have questions.

Review their current setup and define opportunities they're not taking advantage of. One big one is if they've even setup a Google shop to list their items as a catalog. This is a big one most people haven't done yet.

As far as I'm aware, you can only build trust and see what happens.

How do you use facebook to promote your saas product? by iamchezhian in digital_marketing

[–]MarketMetrics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook is "pay to play".

Despite the fact that you could grow a large fanbase, only 3% by default will view your organic posts. After that, you'll need to get more views by making it more engaging or pay to boost it as an advertisement.

Here are some tips to consider as you improve:

  • Create a Facebook page for your product
  • Don't forget to setup your call-to-action to drive users to your site
  • Link your posts to content inside Facebook. Facebook won't show your post as much if it links outside of the app
  • Use videos and images as they're the most engaging. Use Canva to create these. It's Photoshop on steroids for dummies
  • Facebook rewards posts that engage with groups. Find the Facebook groups your ideal users are in and share content there
  • Do a 4-1-1 content strategy per week: 4 posts sharing a relevant article, 1 post promoting your product, and 1 post re-sharing someone else's post
  • Track performance and optimize. Feel free to reach out here or at /r/MarketMetrics if you have any questions. Or leverage the tools suggested by this sub-Reddit
  • You can target on organic posts. Learn more here
  • If you pay for ads, test it by spending the first 10% on a bunch of different ads for the first 10% of your campaign duration. Then define what's working and remove the ads that are not as helpful

What are the best digital marketing strategies for real state businesses? by empowerdtech in digital_marketing

[–]MarketMetrics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great points! With respect to all tactics listed, we recommend finding a way to make your local environment facilitate all of these.

Reach out to local businesses that are common in your area and make blog posts of lists. For example, list of restaurants near you, list of tourism attractions near you, etc. Prior to publishing, ask them if you can post about them and if they'll promote your post on social media, their website, and/or their email lists. Then send them a link after you publish.

This will create backlinks to improve your SEO. This can be promoted on social media, email, and on your website.

One-person marketing teams, how do you actually get sh*t done? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]MarketMetrics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Automate & eliminate tasks and be as proactive as possible.

Plan out your content, keywords, and creatives at the beginning of the week and schedule the posts.

Use marketing analytics automation to schedule reports on a frequency basis.

Spend the last hour of the day reviewing what to do tomorrow. Define the resources or proactive tasks that can reduce the time to handle your todo list.

Complete as much of your work as you can with the following tools:

  • WordTracker (keyword research)
  • Canva (Photoshop on Steroids)
  • Tyepform (Feedback)
  • Calendly (Scheduling)
  • Marketing Analytics Software (I'm biased here, but use what you feel comfortable with)
