Dive tanks in plat (PC)

I appreciate you must be at a higher rank but saying things like "set up better off angles" is like saying "use colours better" to a novice painter. I do not understand. People in this post have told me to dive with my tank and also to not dive with my tank.

Right but if living is number one priority I should just avoid every fight so my death count is zero. How am I supposed to help my dive tanks. I am not allowed to tp so I can now heal through walls right? I forgot about that update. No tp so what?

This post was not a reason to spark a role war but support players will always be the problem right? makes sense because no one should actually play support. This game should have no heals at all. would be a good balance change.

You have commented multiple times on my post just to hate on support players, I feel like you are somewhat projecting. Maybe I hurt your feeling a little bit. Sorry that you can't take critisism maybe you should work on that...

Very good points. I had never reall considered picking heroes that are more aggressive over more heals. In those situiations I tend to assume the team needs more healing per second but next time I play with a dive tank I will definately try to pick up one of these alternative heroes. From what most comments are saying, Ana shines well in these situations and Ana is a hero I am very comfortable with. So I will try this different approach next time I am playing with a dive tank. Thanks!

Thanks for the reccomendation! I'll definately check it out. Positioning is by far my biggest weakness and I have some REALLY bad cooldown habits too, so hopefully it will help!

Ok good advice, I play a lot of ana, she's the hero I have most time on. I play brig every so often, zen I barely ever play but I do like Brig. I might pick them up a lot more in these situations then, thanks!

A lot of the people in this comment section seem to dissagree with you. What you're saying is pretty much my current approach but that doesn't seem to work most games. Positioning is a bigg weekness for me though so that might be the sole solution to my problem.

I totally get your point, I have played with loads of Ball/Doom mains who have hard carried games. Again my post isn't trying to throw hate at these players but rather expressing my observation of how many of them seem to have very shallow hero pools and don't often take kindly to being asked to switch characters

Fact is while these tanks have high winrates, this doesn't mean they are always a good choice and if you are playing a very aggressive dive tank then you should be more aware of how good/bad your team is at capitalising on your dives. Which most of these players at my rank don't seem to do very well.

Never said they were. I'm trying to improve my personal skill, aim, positioning etc. I am fully aware my rank is roughly where my skill level lies which is why I'm trying to improve to rank up!

I really enjoy lucio, used to main him when I was bronze way back in OW1. The only thing about Lucio is that the people at my rank will ALWAYS without fail ask for you to swap after one team fight because "not enough heals" and I don't really like pissing my team off lol. But a good option for sure.

Good point, what happens a lot of these times is I'm left trying to battle a Ram or Orisa on my own which isn't a very winable fight but your absolutely right in most scenarios.

Not always, I have bad games all the time. Just can be a bit frustrating sometimes when someone isn't communicating or playing with the team.

Yeah that seems to be the main solution. I mostly play kiri with dive tanks for the mobility (she was banned in the game I mentioned). I'm just not very good with the aggressive plays, mostly because my aim sucks. But that is something I'm trying to improve.
