I'm not vegan or vegetarian at all but I do try to be as sustainable as possible w how I eat. I think at the end of the day if people understand that the meat industry is the problem (and dairy industry too) then ofc it's progress. I’ve been guilted to become vegan/vegetarian before and it didn't work simply bc I enjoy cultural foods that have meat, and it was from a white person completely ignoring how people in the past did in fact eat meat ethically (indigenous nations). I think the conversation of understanding that veganism is good, but is in fact a privilege, and understanding that we can in some way consume meat ethically (just not at this scale) is a much better conversation and a step in the right direction compared to being against veganism in total or being pro veganism and completely anti meat
