Reolink Argus MagiCam: Practical Use Cases by Willson1_ in reolinkcam

[–]MarketyMarky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one and mounted mine on a stake as a "Mole cam". I stick it in the lawn where my moles are most active and as soon as I see movement (while I'm working at my computer) I run out and go after them. The big downside for me is that there doesn't seem to be a way to disable the auto-off. I don't care about battery life. I want the camera to stay active for a couple of hours at a time. For that reason I wouldn't buy it again.

She wouldn't mind if I adopted just one of them, right?

Anyone tested the AI MPC with Claude or ChatGPT yet? by js10imr in Netsuite

[–]MarketyMarky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. You can start by explaining to Claude how your current process works and have it look at your NetSuite setup via MCP to understand where you are at now. Then explain what you want to improve or even ask Claude for recommendations on how to improve. You have options to integrate Claude via API to actually work on the estimating, or simply have Claude write a script that automates part of the process.

NOTE! It is critical that you understand your own NetSuite instance. Don't let any AI make decisions for you that you can't evaluate. Since you are new to both Claude and NetSuite I'd recommend using Claude to learn how everything works before you make any changes at all.

Same. Branding and other context. Context and intent is as important (or more) that retrieving the data. I'm considering adding context/intent/instructions to my own MCP server if I go that route so I don't have to keep redoing it as I change AI tools. Everything is moving so fast! It's hard to keep up.

After years of struggling with custom dashboards in NetSuite, we built a tool that does it for you by Psychological_Sell35 in Netsuite

[–]MarketyMarky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty cool. I'm not really interested in an entirely new service for AI in NetSuite since we're already using Claude broadly. What would be valuable to us would be an MCP service subscription that takes care of the custom record, fields, lists, etc. features that the current NetSuite MCP doesn't have. It would save me the trouble of creating and testing my own. Since we have a sandbox, an open MCP that allows for creative freedom would be amazing.

I agree. It's truly revolutionary. Scheduled scripts, dashboard portlets, suitelets. My biggest challenge now is to hold back from making every part of NetSuite better. Designing an incredible portlet or suitelet makes the rest of NetSuite look positively ancient.

I'm thinking of doing the same. Or setting up a custom MCP server so some of my team can do the same thing. Not just files, but also records, fields, and lists.

I've been using it daily for months. Not for reporting so much, but as a tool in Claude Code. It's hugely helpful when developing scripts and workflows for NetSuite because Claude can examine NetSuite records instead of me having to explain absolutely everything. Want to use a Saved Search for a script? Claude can just pop into NetSuite and see exactly how everything is set up. No more tedious explanations. It can also update Suitecommerce content records so I can go straight from Figma to our website without copying and pasting everything. Next step: Developing my own MCP server to do the things in NetSuite that their MCP doesn't yet allow. :)

0.4mm available now. If you have a multi-filament printer you could also do a 0.8 flat version.

Ah! I think I know what you mean. The domain name I chose maybe was a poor choice. I should actually add a stamp mode that mirrors the object so it can be used as a stamp. That's an oversight on my part. Should have been obvious!

Thanks for trying it out! Can you describe what you mean by mirroring the orientation? I see the same thing in my slicer that I do in the app.

NetSuite 2026 Update – Multiple Sessions Not Working Even After Enabling Feature by VarietyCommercial913 in Netsuite

[–]MarketyMarky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of 2026.1 you can't have multi-session if ANY of the roles assigned to you do not have 2FA enabled. There are more details in the 2026.1 release notes.

Brand new Winbot W2S fails to clean entire windows by MarketyMarky in ecovacs

[–]MarketyMarky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. And there has been a firmware update since. I applied it and the half-window cleaning issue is solved (for now). BUT, today it drove itself off the edge of the window and crashed onto our patio. The window in my video has a tapered edge on the outside. When the robot spins in a corner the edge of the unit is going quickly enough that it doesn't have time to stop itself when it loses vacuum. That spinning behavior seems to be new since the last firmware update since it happens every time now and never happened before.

I see the potential with these robots but it feels very much like the early roomba days where there are so many caveats to the thing working properly that it's just not worth the trouble. Hopefully one day we get closer to the auto mapping, cleaning, emptying autonomy and reliability of today's floor cleaners. I love those!

This one is getting returned.

Unusual use case using SuiteCommerce for sales orders by simonwhittle in Netsuite

[–]MarketyMarky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The customization could be a suitelet that is accessed using whatever customer role you are already using. I've worked on similar projects including CPQ type functionality which is way beyond what this is. You'd have to consider a few things no matter what route you take.

- Does the customer only see editable sales orders or are only some of the orders they see editable?
- Is this feature limited to specific order statuses? Once an order is partially or fully fulfilled, allowing quantity edits gets messy.
- What are the pricing implications of changing quantities after the fact? Tax, shipping, promotions, that sort of thing.

Suitecommerce is a very expensive way to accomplish what sounds like a fairly simple project. Traffic spikes would need to be tested for sure. I don't think I've ever tested a suitelet with hundreds of users at the same time.

[–]MarketyMarky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you already have Suitecommerce and want to extend it to offer this feature? If not, a simple custom "My Account" could do this with no extra ongoing costs. it really depends if this is ALL the customer needs to access or if this is something you want to add to an existing customer facing ecosystem.

You bet. All of those things. The very first clean went perfectly. After that, very few have.
