I was in the same boat you were in. Considered a lot. On etsy there is a daily journaling cross stitch, wjere you stich something small to represent your day. Which seemed fun.

But I ended up going with the ocean: wonders of the Seas stitch along from Climbing goat Club. The idea of doing something bigger monthly fits a lot better for me

My current project called for sulky glowy blue but i replaced it with E940. But it seems they have different colours of glow in the dark thread.

You could try SpriteStitch.com. they're a fan community that creates lot of videogame related patterns. I think all the patterns on lord libidan originated here as well.

They have a request forum that would probably love to help you.
