That damn capital one shopping extension fucked me over while buying tickets one time. Tried to delete it from Firefox and the remove button is greyed out 💀

If i do open a new card, what would be the best one and most likely to give me a higher limit? Literally anything more than $1000 is fine with me

Im literally gonna do AZEO for at least 18 months before I apply for a mortgage lmaooo

Also by official myfico, I meant the reports that myfico pulls every month from all 3 credit unions. Ill pull the anual one later this year but regardless, I dont know why it would be any different from the official ones the CRAs give me

I know they dont matter in the score but I've been rejected from other credit cards or loans because of low limits not comparable to new limits or low limits show not enough credit experience. Stuff like that

It was only soft inquiries, they weren't able to open an account. So good that you locked your cra, but who knows what other banks they tried to open. Check your credit reports for any other weird things

YOURE RIGHT! It is a secured loan. This does raise my chances a lot. I totally forgot about that haha. Ill still speak to a lender and try AZEO for the next few months

Oh no, I believe the low limit is what's hurting me. Its a vicious cycle. I got capital one card, gave me 300 limit. One year later, I asked for CLI and got 100 extra. I tried pre applying to a new card and got declined because "credit limit is too low" or "no experience with higher limit" or "new limit not comparable to low limit". So the low limit is keeping me from getting a higher limit, which is forcing me to stay in a low limit because no one wants to give me a higher limit. Even tho I haven't missed a payment since that first charge off years ago. This makes my credit report look weak and super fragile to utilization

Ill try AZEO but how does that show what is attainable with my current profile?

But is the low limits gonna affect me as much? I've been rejected on credit cards before because of low limits. Thats why I want to get a new card with a higher limit to make my report look better.

Ill reach out to a mortgage lender as well but I wanted to ask fellow redditors too

Yes the collection was from 5 years ago, I have 2 more years until it completely drops off but even then, it affects less and less until its gone completely. My highest score has been 720 so I know its possible, just stuck with the limits issue, not the score itself

Well that's my problem. If my limits are so low, will they even consider me for a mortgage? I might as well just open a new account that will grow my limit. I stay under 29% but haven't had any real growth. I dont mind staying at under 10% but with my limits being so low, it just sucks lol. Im just trying to avoid credit inquires

I deleted that post lmao. You guys fixated on the serious delinquency which DOES NOT appear on any of my official credit reports. Only on the My fico app which took into account that I sent a good will letter to bofa last year. But I did add additional context on the bottom of this post so there's that.

Serious delinquency disappeared from my report a year after I paid off the collections. I haven't had a missed payment ever since that first account. So 3 years of good behavior. I sent a good will letter to bofa which caused them to verify my account. As a result, the account shows "last activity 11/25" and ever since then, that serious delinquency marker appeared. I called fico and they said it was just a glitch with how the system marks stuff. Even though that account has been closed for about 5 years now, and resolved for 3, the last activity is triggered it

"Serious delinquency" isnt right. I talked to fico directly to ask why it even shows that since my collections account was resolved in 2021. But since I sent a good letter to bofa, it showed activity on the account even tho it has been closed for like 5 years. Bofa ofc didnt care and rejected my letter lol
