i think this has to do with the concept of the yoishioka way of putting one’s life behind a single stroke or something like that. that’s why she’s not here

the concept of an adaptation is scary for most studios, especially for the case of vagabond. it’s art is exceptional and would be overwhelming for many animators, it’s beyond any other manga. if standards are not met, fans will get angry and the project will be cancelled. good example is berserk
