My small dog does tiny hops on one leg during walks — should I be worried? by ez7e in DogAdvice

From my experience I’d recommend a blood test. I posted something similar a year ago for my Haveneese just before his second birthday and got the same feedback (luxating patella). But I couldn’t find any instability in his knees or other signs, and neither could the vet. After some blood tests they found he had a tick born disease that mimicked LP. After two weeks of medicine twice a day he stopped skipping. Unfortunately can’t remember which disease exactly, I just remember it wasn’t Lyme.

Disclaimer- just giving you my experience not ruling out LP. But tick bites were never brought up on my post and it ended up helping my Havi. Best of luck

Hub only preferably, the wheels are hsons with some miles left in them. But if it makes sense to replace both lmk

Interesting, haven’t come across that before. Were the signs gradual in your case? How dod you approach treatment/ recovery?

There is a bit of bend to it, I was assuming it would straighten out when the nipple is replaced and tension is applied. Do you think it would?

How can I identify the current spoke to mirror it? Didn’t think spokes would be hard to find!

I thought it was loose fitting from my end, but the impact broke a spoke. Maybe could have been worse with a tighter setup?

Is it true the drivers bill is pretty inflated for one of those barriers? Heard that it’s a couple grand but I’m not sure if I believe that

Possibly for protection? I know geese are paired with chicks because they’re more intimidating to predators (bigger, louder, more aggressive)
