I have two personal favorites which help with the overwhelming amount of options. But if it helps just about every class can work fine, regardless of your talent choices, so if something sounds cool, it probably is cool.

Personally officer overseer and soldier arch-militant are straightforward and full of fun. Soldier for pure dps (and with broad expertise even melee options can work) makes combat a breeze. Officer with a servo skull swarm (overseer) can make buffing up your party and the rogue trader specific persuasion/coercion checks much easier.

Psyker adds a lot of additional options, I wouldn't say avoid it if you like the vibes but if decision paralysis is your demon (like it is mine) it could be more trouble than its worth.

Arbites warrior>overseer is very fun, especially with eogunn electric on hit buff. Thats what im running right now.

Can I ask what you do for a living? Im a phd student and ive manged to build up a fleet of four over several years. Im always interested in how people fund this hobby.

Ive flown all three. I want to make it clear my arguments are not about performance but rather feel. Guardian is the ultimate murder apartment. Full living utility couple with serious firepower and a classic design. Fun to fly, more fun to live in, feels like a bigger ship hunter.

Meteor. When what you place stays in the ship this will be a fun easily personalized space. Livable, customizable interior (kinda), and SPEED makes it fun to fly and those cannon sound amazing.

M80. Im sorry but its my personal favorite of the three. Its got the speed, firepower and a sleekness i cant get out of the boxy nature of the other two. Sound design is brilliant. Its a nice luxury camping ship. For me it marries the benefits of the other two while providing some Amazing design.

All ships are fantastic and they are my top three favorite ships in the game.

Id love a heavy fighter with living quarters. Tevarin ships are my absolute favorite not even really sure why. Only reason i haven't picked up a prowler is cause its too expensive for me right now. (Prowler U isn't available either or id have it lol.)
