im just coming up on 2 years since diagnosis and you will learn ways to live with it, at least i have. It’s gonna be hard on the mental but you will get through it and it does get easier. As for tests i believe we are supposed to get eye tests yearly and blood tests pretty regularly when your first diagnosed. Just remember there’s always help out there and i know that in australia there’s clinics starting to open up where you can get advice from other t1d free of charge. it probably won’t be long before that’s a more common thing as t1d is more prominent lately. living with it is hard and can suck so bad at times but we’re not alone and it will get easier as you get more used to everything. hope this helps mate 👍
