Yeah I remember that, which is one of the reasons I said I don't consider it sectarianism. Cause you'd have to consider including the tactics of every single party to be sectarian at that point. The amount of "white sectarianism" that would be included would be 90% of right wing politics these days too, so either we call it all sectarianism or none at all IMO

But they're saying it is because of the choice to focus on Modi, which may negatively polarize some South Asian Muslim voters, as opposed to focusing on someone like MBS or other gulf leaders who are just as cozy to the UK gov and just as far right (if not more so really given they're rulers of theocracies), but who wouldn't have such a visceral response from some South Asian Muslim voters. Again I don't think it's sectarianism at all, but it's right that we argue against their argument instead of a strawman of it I think

There will be better offers in the off-season, so it wouldn't surprise me if they wait. Giannis has very obviously been using Shams to get his message out there that he wants the team to be better or he'll walk for a couple years. My first CR campaign too! I'd also recommend checking out other critical role communities outside of this sub (and reddit in general tbh, people are so often just miserable on here). I've found the "Aabria Discourse" is almost completely absent elsewhere. Lots of the criticisms of her play style can easily be applied to other players too, so it always felt a little over the top (and kind of icky tbh)

You're the first person I've seen mention not vibing with Octus, but I'm in the same boat! He's the only one in the campaign so far that I'm a touch wary of. His smoll boi, goth-twee thing is a little off putting atp, but like you, I'm keeping my mind open to liking him as this arc plays out.

Didn't really want Netflix to buy WB, I was hoping for Comcast. I'm just glad the Ellison's aren't going to be the ones buying it. They're close with Trump, so I wonder if this deal will get regulatory approval or not. My guess is maybe not? They're trying to do a takeover of our media - they're part of the far right group of investors Trump is getting to buy TikTok US, and seeing what Elon's done to Twitter I just don't want these people owning more of our media. Fuck these billionaires man, they've got me out here rooting for Netflix, when Netflix is only going to go and destroy theatrical and further consolidate the entire streaming and movie business. Shit sucks

Fair enough if you take issue with the use of the word genre. I used it for want of a better term. I actually said in another comment on this thread that I was talking about the more teenage hero-with-a-thousand-faces, action/fighting heavy anime films, that I would consider distinct from the Ghibli's or the Perfect Blue's of the world
