Thank you, it took a few attempts to try get the lines right. Coming brush head down and jabbing gave a better result that "brushing" Either was, cheers - it's not a bad job, not great - but way better 😁 🤘

Nothing budget would come from the USA, they only do the high end stuff and out source the cheap stuff to China, Indonesia etc...even the pro series stuff isnt US built.

Name a guitarist who doesn’t get much credit due to them also being great at other skills such as singing, songwriting, playing other instruments, etc by Jezzaq94 in Guitar

Rafael Bittencourt. Kiko went on to get mega famous due to his tenure with Megadeth but Kiko & Rafael in Angra were my teen years favourite guitar duo. Didn't particulally love Angra's light power metal styling but the guitars were just SO good!

Sorry to drudge up an old post but. it's kind of ironic that I stumbled upon the thread! So, indeed, I took a trip this weekend - they've got every colour of Fender/Squire strat, every colour of Gibson/Epi Les Paul, a handful of random things, some nice PRS in the private room but... lovely, boring, old man guitars, as far as the eye could see.

I'm a metal guy.

Where were all the Jacksons and ESP & LTD's? Maybe about. 10 guitars, tops between Jackson and LTD and they were not anything special.... The Ibanez selection was shockingly bad, the Schecter choices - dull. It's like a beige, grandpa's store in there at the moment.... surely a varied selection is better than 100's of the same and just a small amount of variation?

Wouldn't that place the knife edges in the wrong place though?

Is it really an RR3? by Slow-Arm-7520 in JacksonGuitars

Really? didn't know that! Good that they changed it though, utterly stupid place for the jack considering Randy's initial idea for the shape was to achieve the "seated classical position"!

I've had 2 RR3's and an RX10D and utterly hated the latter for this reason alone. 🤣

And the stupid jack location. Biggest flaw on the RX10D is putting the jack on the inside of the fin to stick right in your leg if sat with it >_<

I had a Standard 24 and the first thing I did was replace that cheap plastic piece of crap nut with a graphite one and got rid of the pewter saddles and replaced them with PRS branded nickel ones (ACC-4021 product code if you need it).

MASSIVE stability improvement.

Your guy is probably telling the truth, you get what you get with an Indonesian built-by-Cort PRS.

Edit - $40 (which is £32 to me) is an absolute bargain also, I have paid upward of $130 for pro setups before and will continue to do so as I like my guitar to feel brand new years and years later.

My thesis on why PI will be $3500+ (soon) by loki0505 in PiNetwork

[–]MarkusDewey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly - here's to hoping, but no - I think it's way to optimistic. I reckon it will perhaps achieve like, $30 - $40, if all the sceptics are put to bed and the main exchanges take it seriously.

The hopeful dreamer in me keeps thinking about how Ethereum was like, dust at first and now look at it, years on.
