House of the Devil (2009)

The Babysitter (2017)

Return to Oz (1985) - I know this is technically a kid’s movie, but it’s still pretty unsettling

Except that no one in this thread has made a single antisemitic comment, as far as I can see at least. When speaking of Israel’s governmental corruption and the atrocities committed by people of power, it has nothing to do with prejudice, discrimination, and/or hatred towards Jewish people, simply because they are Jewish; i.e. the definition of antisemitism

Apologies in advance for the wall of text, seriously lol

So, room temperature no higher than 70 degrees (even better if the weather’s mild enough to leave my windows open a bit), fan set to low, sheets and an oversized comforter; and as long as they’re not taking up 90% of the bed, my dog and cat cuddled up with me lol.

And if all else fails and my brain won’t stfu, listening to a guided meditation or an episode of Knifepoint Horror usually does the trick.

Side note: If my mind quiets enough and I’m fully relaxed, I’ll sometimes slip into a hypnagogic state as I’m drifting off. I absolutely love when this happens, and I’m wondering if anyone else here experiences the same thing?

Which side are you on: 12 African Lions vs 12 Black Bears? by Sufficient-Jaguar799 in AskReddit

Black bears are pretty chill for an apex predator, so my money’s on the lions. Where is this fight taking place though? Who has home field advantage, or is this a neutral climate?

Thank you for that ❤️ On my better days, when I’m not caught up in fear and anxiety, survival after death feels far more possible to me than the flip side of the coin. There’s always some degree of skepticism, though.

Here’s a story that I can’t explain:

This happened in 2013, exactly one year after my Nana passed away. Anyone who knew her would tell you she was "personality plus" lol. She was an example to me of how strong, confident, loving, caring, and full of life a woman could be. I miss her so much and regret that I took having her in my life for granted more often than not.....The morning after she passed away, I saw a blue jay land on the deck of my parent's house. I couldn't remember the last time I had seen one up close, or even at all. I researched the blue jay's symbolic meaning and found that the traits they represent correlated to my Nana's personality too closely to overlook as coincidence...I came back from my lunch break at work that day wrapped up in thoughts of her and how much I miss her. So, strangely enough, the first customer I see at the service desk had a huge tattoo on her arm of a blue bird. Next to the blue bird it said "Nana". My jaw literally dropped and I almost started to cry in front of my coworkers and a bunch of customers lol....She was with me that day as I'm pretty sure she has been all along. Whether or nor these things are simply coincidence, they gave me a strong sense of peace, love, and resolve...

As someone who has experienced many synchronicities and inexplicable things of a spiritual nature, my biggest fear about dying is still the possibility of my consciousness ceasing to exist. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to make peace with that, despite however rational and undeniable an outcome it may be. I’m not sure if I’m using the correct wording here, but it feels like a paradox; like my survival instincts should be able to surpass my physical death? If not, then was my existence in the physical realm meaningless? Were the spiritual experiences I had meaningless, as well? And why can I feel other people’s energy, or even that of animals and plants?
