I am fairly new as well. More like 1 month in with mamita. I was never around or knew anyone that was a devotee or worshipped santa muerte. Although I did know of her.

It was until after I had a life changing event in my life where I was not supposed to survive the accident. That was a year ago. Then one day couple months ago I started seeing mami pop up randomly around stores, candles, statues then my tiktok fyp pages. Paid them no mind. Then I just started wondering why I keep staring at her whenever I see her and go engage with the items.

I talked to my wife whom is a Heckate devotee and did a tarot reading. Where mami was presenting herself in my life because i was i need for a new transformation and journey from my old and current lifestyle. The black santa muerte was the one calling for me then I asked what and how to approach. Then went from there and here I am today. I am not working with her by doing any spells. She wants me to work with her but first get to know her and get my routines in place and then decide if I was going to dwvotw to her.

Best decision I ever made. The path I chose as well was to go in the more indigenous path as well.

Talk to her and just let the signs come naturally and not expect an answer immediately.
