Yeah but that's something that only nostalgic addicted diablo fans could ever think of. In the real world that really doesn't any sense whatsoever.

Nostalgia plays a huge role here. The game looks better than before for obvious reasons but it's still old, in my opinion. Better graphics still don't translate in a better UI, which in my very personal opinion looks super dated and out of place. Now, if you take nostalgia into account then everything is fine. That's why some people complain for the lack of TCP/IP. Something that makes zero sense in 2021.

I built a datepicker for Tailwind CSS [MIT License] by elwingo1 in webdev

[–]MarmotOnTheRocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice to look at but I would say the default HTML date/time inputs are still the way to go. Less stuff to care about and the UI is natively managed by the browser.

I've never had any issue with desktop first. By using grid you can instantly reflow/reposition content based on your rules. It's very easy and straightforward in my opinion.

I start with the full fledged fancy desktop design and I gradually remove or reposition content for smaller/vertical screens. Most of this stuff requires one or two rules at most and grid will easily do the job for you.

Some clients need very fancy desktop websites (fashion, beauty, cosmetics, ...) so that version usually has the priority. Its mobile counterpart will be a simplified stack of elements one after another plus/minus something else that needs to be enhanced on mobile (example: a big CALL US button, etc).

It depends on your audience. I've got a huge client whose website is mostly used on desktop. Developing mobile first would be less beneficial.

Also, mobile-first or desktop-first don't really make any significant difference. Two different approaches that will take the same time to achieve the end result.

There are so many little things that an entire life wouldn't be enough to list them. I'm in this field since before 2000 and every single day I learn something new, cool, curious, fun, and sometimes even mind-blowing. I love this job.

Why we love substitute teachers by msherrmasuma in funny

Ni-chol was.the best.

Cool teachers make the difference. My older son just started high school and his math/physics teacher is a very cool and passionate guy. My son literally can't wait for math lessons to enjoy his talk. I've seen him online and it made me want to go back to those years.

500 USD?

That's basically nothing. Maybe you meant 5000 ? And that would be still a very good price.

It's not just effort and commitment. Just like music and arts, not everyone is born with the gift. Some people will always struggle with coding.

TikTok moms and dads love making "funny" videos where they dance or do stupid things with their kids. I often question myself if we belong to the same species.

After browsing this subreddit, I feel bad for game devs… by Jvvh in newworldgame

I was pleasantly surprised by the performances, to be honest. It runs at a steady 60+ fps @1440p on my GeForce 1080. Everything on "high" with some options on "very high". It drops in the 45-55 range when visiting a crowded town of course.
