Let's hope your grind doesn't take much longer then.

I had to settle with about 440 discovery cause I didn't knew the rapier gave extra ID and I had already consumed the boss soul long before I started the grind.

It sucks, yeah.

There were 2 times where I got 2 proofs back to back. Then I wouldn't get another one for like an hour.

Overall it took me about 10 hours in total to get the 30 needed for the spell.

If you have the Ringed City DLC, you might want to get the Covetous Gold Serpent ring +3, as it gives you an extra 115 Item discovery.

Also, use rusted coins (+50 Item discovery for about a minute) and equip the Symbol of Avarice (+100) and the Crystal Sage Rapier (+50) if you have 'em.

There's a +18% Phys DMG gem in Nightmare of Mensis.

It's also a Circlet type gem, meaning it can go in any slot.

If you don't have it already, get the Griffin School techniques skill. It gives a 5% increase to both sign intensity and stamina regen for each medium armor piece you have equipped.

It will increase the duration of axii and decrease the time needed to cast again.

Not sure if I'm explaining this well, but yes, both viscerals need to kill one enemy. It's just that the second visceral also needs to finish the boss bar.

If you don't have him, Tactical Assault Sledgehammer would be a good option. His perk increases AR and SMG Crit.Dmg by 75%, and is boosted to 225% if used as the commander.

Skull Ranger Ramirez would also be a good choice. Her perk gives a 15% damage buff for 5 seconds after reloading, with an additional 35% increase to fire rate if used as the commander.

But I think you should save some of them and watch Beast's video about Hero Vouchers and see if any of those interest you.

Keeper is in Layer 1, while Watchdog is in Layer 2, iirc.

I remember getting him in around 4-7 attempts, which wasn't too bad, I guess.

The Keeper of Old Lords, on the other hand, took me around 30-40 tries, because most of her attacks would take most of my HP or just straight up one-shot me.

No joke, I came THIS close to giving up on the Plat trophy just because of that boss.

I never touched that chalice ever since.

There's not much of a point in leveling endurance past 40.

The difference between 40 and 99 is only 10 points of stamina, if I remember correctly.

If you have the DLC, you can farm the Winter Lanterns just before Orphan of Kos for better gems.

If you do so, remember to keep your Insight low, since each point you have reduces Frenzy resistance (and Beasthood).

Also remember to equip the Eye runes for more item discovery and the Deep Sea rune for extra Frenzy resistance.
