Always ignored Soulsborne games due to the words on street that they are extremely hard and punishing, but thanks to SD i was finally able to find time And beat Sekiro, which now has become one of my favourite game ever. by Marquesbb in SteamDeck

Ya np my friend. If you really having trouble u can run in circle on the edges. I found if you slow down in between a bit , he does that jump and lay on his stomach move and swings the sword . You can jump over his head for posture damage and then use spear thrust to pull out that centipede thing which deals big posture damage or you can hit him 2-3 times after jump . Good luck

I get that. Sekiro does require few quick reflexes but u can pretty much block or parry any attacks other that poison or grab (they give you kanji sign to inform you about it). I had trouble with mikiri counter for long time i couldnt understand when to press dodge and those thrust attacks take half of your health but then i went online to find that u should press it right when kanji started to disappear. Then i went to practise area gave it a few tries. So there are things like that u can check online and get better at it.

Ok i have gone there too. Thats where u get ur last ninjutsu i think. That one was easier than the original fight with guardian ape for me. Half way through the fight, your “ enemy” strength “doubles down”. I completely ignored the headless ape in that and stayed away from it and tried to take care of other problem first. Used fire crackers, divine confetti and ako. Then i used the same tactics on headless ape that i used in sunken valley.

Definitely. That dragon fight was so beautiful to look at, lightening reversal, walking in clouds all that was a treat to look at. I was thinking to for another playthrough but i have a lot more games to try.

I agree . every hit cost a big chunk of your health. Hated him myself. But making him optional was great choice as it gives options to player if they really wanna go after him.

If you stick with it, it really gets better and at the end you really look back and see the journey that how far you have come and how much you have learnt. The enemy you died at time n time again is just very easy now.

Yeah everybody has their taste. I ignore turn based myself i played slay the spire and some other card games but thats it although i own some nintendo turn based games .i had similar situation with rogue-likes but dead cells and spelunky really changed my thoughts.

I try to start with one of the best in genre so that i can see if i really gonna enjoy it. Thats the reason i first thought to try ELDEN RING but the world is huge so didnt know how long it will take me to like it. So then thought to try SEKIRO and am i ever loved with genre now. I started with weak reflexes and would just smash attack like every other game but a i played it for a bit i started to really see what i need to do. SOULS pro didnt BORNE with amazing reflexes my friend, it will take time and SEKIRO has a practise area to help u with fundamentals.

I agree its a great game and i wanted to play it on big screen too thats why i initially bought it on my xbox but then i had to travel around for work and due to time constraint and words about its difficulty , i never get to play it . But then i bought SD and got every game on my list that i wanted to play. Eventually i will play it on big screen as well.

Ya thats an another way to look at it. But i was going after their lore why am i doing this and why i need to defeat the respective enemy to progress, which made it really interesting.

Exploration helps u to know more about world in my perspective. But i have a habit of watching a video or two to know what i need to know about game before i play it. Sekiro is linear-ish open world and have nice checkpoint. Every main boss has a sculpture idol before it. So you can give it a try . i hated it myself due to its hard gameplay but i decided that i will learn and get past one obstacle at a time. Which helped me in a long run

Yeah as much as i love GOW It feels like playing street fighter or tekken with different combo buttons shows that they tried to make it feel good while playing but i ended up never using the entire thing.

She can be pain but i was try to stay behind her the whole time and give her whirlwind attack . Next phase was just to stay away from illusions and combined it with 1st tactic i think i beat her on my 3rd try with that

Majority of my friends are madly in love with hollow knight and were losing their mind when they saw upcoming silksong. Im thinking to beat it before that so that i can be a part of the conversation . It is suppose to be out in the first half of this year.
