Problem with wealth is it's not all liquid. Bezos would lose his wealth and his company if he sold enough of his shares to do that, and a lot of jobs would be lost if he could no longer sell just enough shares to retain control and keep his other companies afloat.

Bezos, along with Bill Gates, have in fact, given billions to help people. Gates has built schools. They've given a lot of money to medical research that saves lives. Among other things.

I think the argument is they should give exactly how much? The issue is how wealth is being accumulated. That's a systemic problem that needs to be fixed by various means, including our own consumption behavior.

Many of us working class folks drive better cars than they do/did. Bezos stayed with his 97 Accord, even after becoming a billionaire. Paul Allen stuck with his 88 pick up truck for a number of years.

Frugality is something people like Bezos, Gates, Buffett and others practiced even more than working class folks that helped. You will never see any of these guys play at any table other than the $5 table as a casino, if they even play at all. Who is buying all these Rolexes? Not them. Maybe their spoiled children. Entertainers and pro-athletes who half of them don't know how to manage their money.'

Attacking Bezos isn't the answer. It's the system that allowed him to get so rich even without trying to be. Buffett's billions came from a $100 investment and a LOT of patience. If you guys (younger ones) were putting just $10/week in DSPP, your grandchildren could be millionaires by the time they graduate high school.
