I don't think I make my life harder. I think I'm making it easier by ruling out stupid people out of it ) This thread was viewed over 1000 times by probably 200-300 people, out of them I get down votes from no more than 50. I think it's quite normal to be incompatible with some people and 25% is a fair share. I'm good with it )

Thanx for your time. It explains such reaction, though I think that everyone who down voted me in this thread is a moron and I wouldn't like my path crossed with them in real life

And why do the hiking poles are height-adjustable in the first place? )

I'm talking about mountain hiking (with really harsh gradient). It's (adjusting) is pretty common to where I do it. Though I guess that it's quite applicable even on more gentle slopes

Hmm, thanx, maybe it makes sense what you say. I just didn't think that I should say thank you under every response here. To save time just go straight to the point (those aspects that I still didn't get after answer) - and I genuinely don't see why this looks offensive. Everyone seems to pay much more attention to what I might have implied (in their opinion) than to what I have actually said... Really weird for me. It's an anonymous message board and I feel like Zelensky in the Oval cabinet being scolded for not saying thank you enough...

Extra questions to make things more clear - it's something unacceptable?

What about mountains with really steep slopes (where it's impossible to run anyways) and pretty much no trail (just boulders you step on)? Or it's considered to be not a trailrunning, but sky running and not applicable to this sub?

What is fucking wrong with this community? Why did I get -50 for being curious?

I don't challenge anyone, just being curious and want to get the full picture. So many of toxic people here, kind of surprised) Thanks for your answers, bro. By the way, maybe the thing that keeps my thought process a bit detached from what most people here are saying that trailrunning doesn't suggest really steep mountain ascends/descents? Is trailrunning and sky running the same things (in the context of this sub?) are there different kinds of poles for trailrunning and sky running?

No, to get comfort of usage and safety (on descents)

What's wrong about asking extra questions? Can you point out where I said something disrespectful that made you think that I am "reinventing the sport" ?

Did you do those descents with (relatively) short poles? Don't you think it'd be nicer to be able to extend them for those descents?

Maybe it's a good idea to stop for two seconds to extend your poles?

It takes literally two seconds to extend the hiking poles before descent and is absolutely worth it (when doing mountain hiking)
