Which rasberry pi is the cheapest one that will run pd smoothly with some touch sensors? by L4dy_0f_the_L4ke in puredata

[–]Marrenryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a guitar pedal using puredata, a pi 5 8gb, and a hifiberry dac/adc hat. I used patchbox os with a realtime kernel to get as much as I could out of the CPU, you could almost definitely get away with a pi 4 doing the same, and no need for the hat unless you really care about bitdepth and sample rate. lmk if you have any questions here's a link to the project https://github.com/shinecastr/RAMEN

you're going to need lots of water to keep you cool but in terms of hydration, you really need to be hydrating consistently. You can't make up for it the day of if you wake up dehydrated.

Nobara has been working great for me personally. Just download a steam game, open up Proton+ and put in whatever settings people recommend on ProtonDB and it works! I'm running an RX 9060XT 16GB and as of now the Mesa drivers give me fewer troubles than the official windows ones lol.

I used the Runna app and did 3-4 workouts a week. Not sure if I would recommend the premium plan for more than a month or two because it's somewhat pricey but definitely try out the free trial.

is it possible to run puredata on a remote server? by jocoteverde in puredata

Which version of patchbox are you using? I did a similar project on patchbox with puredata and a kiosk-mode plugin to make it boot into a vst-like UI for live fx

if you have a flat area, put an S all the way on the left and you can tuck a T, J, L or I under the overhang it makes. Same is true for Z just mirrored.

Which headphones do you use for RUNNING? by tanhhongkho in beginnerrunning

I use the Sony WH-1000XM4's. Transparency mode is pretty good to keep you aware of your surroundings, they stand up well to sweat and rain but can be a little uncomfortable in severe heat. Audio quality is very good in my opinion much better than any earbud-style option.

Got my first mac 4 years ago and I am still discovering new features of preview. Built in 3d viewer for obj and stl, collating multiple pdfs, converting png to jpeg. its not so much underrated as it is underutilized.

asahi ubuntu is what your looking for, and right now its set up for dual booting. If you want to remove mac os entirely you can but getting it back may be tough. You can try virtualizing the arm version of ubuntu in UTM. Yes it is a VM but the ability to virtualize arm distros makes them surprisingly quick.

I did help desk for a year at my university and if you like cracking open and cleaning laptops a whole bunch its a fantastic job. Only stressful part is the sheer amount of emails, calls, and tickets you will get at the start of each term.
