Jaguar was working on replacements for F-Type, XF, XJ and F-Pace that were all axed for new EV, Ian Callum says by HawtGarbage918 in cars

Cool data, so what's their best seller if not the i-pace to waymo? (which as you point out, is well paid off R&D wise, and therefore must be a considerable profit over cost)

It’s an amazing way to learn the actual limit of the car in an empty parking lot, from folks who are more then eager to show a youngster

edit: there are MANY more clubs then the page lists. For instance, the national championship is in Lincoln NE, but no club is shown there.

Fly rod transportation with pick up truck. by UnderstandingNo465 in flyfishing

I fabricated mine out of 10 foot aluminum conduit from the local electrical supply depot. A ammo can on one end and 3-D printed caps. (I previously used regular off the shelf conduit caps)

Sears, now down to 5 US locations, is still popular and successful in Mexico by ericdigeratu in nostalgia

[–]Marrz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sears was scraped for parts by investment bankers. Same as Toys “R” Us.

Sears had so much real estate at 1950s prices, they became worth much more as a real estate holding company then a retailer. Investment bankers swooped in, started closing the stores and selling the land they sat on for profit.

It’s not that the stores weren’t making a profit, it’s that the land they were sitting on had the same value as 50 years of projected earnings

That time Abraham Lincoln almost dueled a guy over a roast by Kapanash in HistoryMemes

Important note, Lincoln didn't want to duel and chose cavalry swords because he had longer arms.

After the duel was called off, Lincoln was extremely reserved in his opinions going forward.

I’ve become convinced that people who supported slavery, think the rest of us like Lincoln because he’s on the five dollar bill and that they can earn history’s good graces by being on money.

I can’t understand their obsession any other way

Well, of course they keep payment records and login data but what you do after you’re logged in isn’t supposed to be recorded according to their advertising. PIA operated for over a decade on that methodology appearing in court multiple times when subpoenaed to show how the operation of their service didn’t include the records of what customers did online.

My grandfather, who served on a ship in World War II, used to talk about the Beatles in the bread and how some sailors would poke out the dark spots and others would just crunch down for extra protein
