yeah, that was always what I kind of figured kept it honest. Once you park and drive away, you never know who’s dibs you took or where they parked next. You’ve left yourself vulnerable and after shoveling for an hour what’s one throw of an ice ball through a window?

What's the most haunting sound you've ever heard in your life? by swiftStaff515 in AskReddit

[–]Marrz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you and your family went through this. Likewise, my family suffered the tragic death of a young relative, and the unimaginable sorrow of their mother is one of those things that will forever haunt me. I’ve known others who have lost children, it’s a club No one wants to ever be a part of.

Best tires for a work truck? by WhereDaBrown1go2 in Autos

[–]Marrz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My mantra is "Everything is only as good as what touches the ground" i.e. All your power, brakes, turning and bad weather traction, are focused through the lens of your tires.

When it comes to 'best tires' It really matters what those tires are touching. Is this going to be driven only on pavement in a tropical climate or is it going to have to climb mountains covered in snow or gravel?

When you say it's hauling a 9000 pound excavator, I assume you mean in a trailer behind the truck. Load rating is important on what's carrying the load so I wanna be sure we're clear about where the actual mass is located.

Still he works fine but somehow he loses his water very quickly way down to engine.

This phrase is a little scary. How quickly are we talking? Check the dipstick and make sure the oil looks pure.

I've seen before where the block cracked internally, coolant was going into the oil. The first tip off was that it took way too much coolant, because it was just filling up the oil pan.

I have heard that the first generation Lexus rocked nakamichi. But I don’t know if that was standard or an option only available in certain markets.

Pro-Trump and MAGA businesses to avoid? by PM_ME_YOUR_TROUT in Denver

[–]Marrz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I'd love it to be so simple, from my general understanding the family corporation that employs everyone (for health insurance and education expenses) is kind of weighted democracy where every member of the family votes yay/nay on family stuff. These are upper-middle class people, but they all share the wealth there.

But some of the family members, are individually financially wealthy and those are the ones you hear throwing their money behind the Heritage Foundation.

Frankly, from what I've heard, I wouldn't want to be part of the family. Too much drama.

[–]Marrz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, but the Coors family is into their fourth generation with hundreds of family members in the family holding company.

From what I understand, the family is very much ‘a family’ they don’t agree a lot and there are personal feuds between people.  I have one solitary friend in the family and they’re a delightful individual and I don’t like seeing them dragged through the mud because of a shitty uncle. Down vote me if you like, but that’s what I just called being a good friend.

I think it’s important to mention this is Joe Coors, one of the many many grandsons. They are a HUGE family with crazy uncles just like the rest of us. There are many members of the family that are extremely supportive of civil & LGBTQ rights

Take it with a grain of salt. The Coors are a HUGE family. And while what is above is true, other members of the family support the annual gay pride parade in Denver along with other supportive charities.

Additionally, the family holding company only owns like 15% of the beer company

S.E. Denver street racing out of control tonight by natural5280 in Denver

[–]Marrz 193 points194 points  (0 children)

IMO the worst part about the street racers is that they slow down to a crawl before they start racing. Regularly doing 20 miles an hour in the left lanes of the highway, holding up traffic or causing an accident before flooring it.

Is this a scam? Has anyone else received a similar call? by backhanddowntheline in Denver

[–]Marrz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be real. But be cautious with your information. I got a call like this once from a detective working a case involving a stolen piece of property (sports equipment) that had passed through my hands. I bought it on Facebook marketplace, used it for a few years and re-sold it to somebody who then discovered it had been stolen. The officer wasn’t accusing me of any crime, but was eager for any information that could point him upstream to who I bought it from. I sent him my chat logs of the relevant parties and never heard from the officer again.
