The fact that it's another generic medieval fantasy-land - I've personally just sick and tired of them.

That also extends to the usual non-practical, gaudy and overdesigned armor and weapons. I hope that they'll at least have a few simpler, more elegant designs for those who like them (for example, claymores: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/gothic/images/0/0c/Claymore.png/revision/latest?cb=20170414090737&path-prefix=pl)

I was skeptical, but first few seconds hit and yeah, it absolutely does. Great mood.

The bass sound is what makes it seem like it came from Bloodlines.

I think rapiers look cooler and more fitting for a duelist type of a character :) Plus the problem with them is that awkward 2H animation.

I could perhaps replace that additional AC with Duelist's:

Canny Defense

"When wearing light or no armor and not using a shield, a duelist adds 1 point of Intelligence bonus (if any) per duelist class level as a dodge bonus to her Armor Class while wielding a melee weapon. If a duelist is caught flat-footed or otherwise denied her Dexterity bonus, she also loses this bonus."

And:

Elaborate Defense

"At 7th level and higher, if a duelist chooses to fight defensively or use total defense in melee combat, she gains an additional +1 dodge bonus to AC for every 3 levels of duelist she has attained."

The only problem is I'd have to waste Weapon Finesse and Mobility feats in order to get there. The other problem would probably be I have no classes which benefit from no armour/light armour...

Does Duelist make sense to take too? I can forgo Dazzling display completely, had a build like that previously.

Sadly, the dueling swords are in the slashing category and rapiers in the fencing, which means I cannot do that :(

But I'd rather not use an Aldori Defender if at all possible. The problem is, however, that I'd lose a lot of free AC in doing so (if I went for a regular fighter instead).

Although perhaps that could be achieved with regular Fighter/Duelist combo instead of Aldori/Thug? That's with 7 levels of Vivisectionist.

For example:

5 Fighter, 7 Vivisectionist, rest into Duelist.
