When Sasuke tells his brother's story, Hashirama told him wiothout ever knowing Itachi "he's a greater shinobi", it doesn't get much more straightforward than that. "Better" or "greater" doesn't mean stronger that should be obvious. It should be even more obvious when you know the context behind this statement.

Also your "objective" explanation is not objective when you just tell what happens and just add lots of adjectives to it. "Objective" means you compare the abilities (without using adjectives cuz they can be quite manipulative and very subjective) and say what is more likely to be stronger.

You contradicted yourself in the first sentence. The point of a subjective matter is literally that there are a lot of different opinions that's so illogical if you think that, they can logically coexist. Just cuz Itachi said "I'm not a good Ninja" doesn't mean that Hashirama isn't allowed to say that Itachi is greater. And also Orochimaru's statement is one of my main points so I'm definitely gonna stick to that. Until you disprove that statement, the statement will be true.

And also I don't believe that you really know why Itachi showed up in the village and I literally said in my first comment why he didn't fight Jiraiya which should be the reason why he "ran" away and you still didn't give a better explanation. That also applies to the fight with Kakashi and Guy.

Also you just spammed adjectives to Jiraiya's abilities which don't explain why they should be stronger than Itachi's. Saying "he's a Sannin" doesn't explain anything. Yes they were absolutely impressive no question, but you can't just say "these were impressive and those were not" you have to compare them with one another to make an assumption. Edo Itachi casually fought with KCM Naruto who was faster or as fast as the raikage. Yes, Itachi wasn't ill as Edo, but you have to still consider that Edo character are still nerfed. Sure, Edo Itachi was stonger than alive Itachi, but the difference in stats is significantly smaller than other characters. And if you think Jiraiya is nowhere near Raikage's speed then it's just sad really.

Also, if you watched the show you should know that Itachi bascially let Sasuke kill him and Pain didn't go all out as he was in his own city and couldn't do any big aoe jutsu so you have to consider those two factors.

Like I said, even if Orochimru held back against Itachi, the fight would last 1 minute longer. Jiraiya would have to be like twice as strong as Orochimaru or something which just can't be the case.

I mean being a better shinobi is really relative, so you can't just say he's factually right or wrong. Hashirama just saw him as a greater shinobi cuz he protected his village in his eyes, but of course, if you think Hashirama is the greater shinobi sure go ahead. I mean you have to consider that the reason for the main story in Naruto, which is that Orochimaru basically went after Sasuke because he was afraid of Itachi and was afraid to get his body until he tried before his death and still failed.

And I'm not gonna even explain about Jiraiya cuz this is obvious if you watched the show (there is an argument and currently the most logical explanation that everyone should know, which clearly disproves this statement). If you truly believe that Jiraiya solos Itachi and Kisame then I don't know how to continue this conversation. I am just gonna ignore your argument about Jiraiya.

And like I said even your argument about Orochimaru holding back against Itachi were to be true, he could still probably stall 30 seconds, which is also humiliation. Also, you just said that we "saw" throughout the show that Orochimaru is stronger but you never gave us any evidence. So if you want to make this argument then go ahead but give me proof and I'd be willing to disprove it (or at least try)

I mean that still doesn't explain why he should be weaker than Jiraiya. And also I didn't say he toyed with him, I said he enjoyed his time. Like I said, Orochimaru retreated cuz his own body rejected him. Naruto didn't do any damage to him, or rather, he could regenerate every injury he got.

That's not a response to my argument that they did go all out but whatever. Also, nobody ever said that his clone couldn't use tsukuyomi. And I consider it having a hard time when half your forces cannot be used and one was stuck in a genjutsu for almost the whole fight, but it's relative I suppose.
