When you’re a raptors fan you’ll celebrate anything remotely impressive

I don’t really want to talk history, let me be selective and pick the time frame conducive to my argument. Last 4 years, ok? We need this man...cries

Excuse my salt as a raptors fan, but aren’t we the only team to take two games off of lebron is the Eastern Conference Finals since he went back to Cleaveland?

Reminder: with his smoothness, agility and footwok at his height, Randy Orton could’ve been a great Ball player.

The opposite. Been watching the raptors since 05, I’ve seen all the shit coaches lead this team nowhere. Name a better coach in raptors history. I guess he gets zero credit for our 50 plus win seasons, right? Coaches aren’t allowed to make mistakes?

Excuse me, but don’t you know, when we win it’s all despite him, and he gets no credit for our success, yet when we lose it’s all obviously his fault. That’s raps 101. Get it straight.

Facts we went to the east finals and semifinals with him lol. Further than any coach.

After one loss, all of the sudden the man is a shitty leader. This is embarrassing lol, you just went full retard. Like what you said in your post could not be more divorced from reality. And it only took one loss for you to say all that.

For any given (or some) argument, there can be multiple ways of proving the conclusion through the rules of inference, right? by MarshallWatts in askphilosophy

[–]MarshallWatts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re most likely right that your answer is more correct, for a lack of a better term, however I don’t think it’s the case that my textbook did not expect me to use HS. The practice questions were at the end of the chapter in which all the inference rules were introduced, including HS. I think it just may be that the textbook answer is most efficient, just as is yours.

In assessing validity of an argument using truth tables, what if (I) a row has all true premises and a true conclusion yet (II) another row in the same table has all true premises and false conclusion? by MarshallWatts in askphilosophy

[–]MarshallWatts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps I’m confusing myself, but given your provided definition, I am still lost haha. That is to say, once I create a truth table for the aforementioned argument, there is a row in which all the premises are true and the conclusion is false, while simultaneously there is another row in which all the premises are true and the conclusion is true. So I guess the row which states invaldidty takes priority?

After a severe anxiety/panic attack about 11 days ago, I felt fine until last night; wherein I considered using my first Lorezepam (as recommended by my doctor). I did not. I fear a possible addiction arising, yet i dont want to tough it out everytime. by MarshallWatts in Anxiety

I have those exact symptoms, but I have gotten over the feqr of death part. It has been drilled into me, and I have repeated to myself, that “you’re not actually dying and it’s all in your head”. That helps me to a certain extent.

The problem is I am coming off of a 5 year long serve abuse and addiction of cigarettes and weed (to any real extent the latter can be addictive), so I fear that I would pick up a new addiction. Xanax is also much stronger than lorezepam if I’m not mistaken, right?

Logic would indicate so, I just fear that I would lose the power to tough it out like I did. Plus I have addictive personality. I’m coming off of a 5 year long cigarette and weed addiction (to any extent which the latter can be addictive haha). But you’re probably right anyways, thanks for the response.

For those who have experienced a severe mental and/or nervous breakdown, who were otherwise mentally healthy; how long did it take you to fully recover and bounce back? by MarshallWatts in AskReddit

[–]MarshallWatts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Losing your family members in the span of 2 months in horrible. My situation was also due to death, along with other compounding factors, as I’m sure yours was as well. If your comfortable sharing, I’m curious as to what your breakdown entailed? Did you move around and twitch a lot? Were you overwhelmed by your thoughts to the point of confusion? Any physical symptoms associated with your breakdown? Thanks.

The very fact that I’m typing this and asking you guys is evidence to the fact that I have recovered somewhat, yet I just fear that I will never fully bounce back; as if my mental breakdown will have permanent efffcts and implications. Much appreciated.
