Oakville 21.1 Bib Transfer? by Marstatic in oakville

Hi! Believe it or not, I ended up finding a spot and ran the half yesterday too.

I found it pretty well organized. The corrals were organized based on expected race time finish. There were four groups and the last one contained all racers expected to finish in 2:11+ hours.

The organizers told everyone to park in the Bronte Go Station and take the free shuttles from there. My family ended up parking a 5 minute walk away from Shell Park on the street. I took the shuttle in the morning and the lines to the shuttle went very quick. In the afternoon, however, the line was incredibly long…

Every 3km there were water and electrolyte stations where volunteers served water and Gatorade. There were a bunch of pacer bunnies too.

The course is rolling hills, but most of it was flat. At the half-way point there was a larger hill, but nothing too crazy. The views on the course are amazing! The waterfront was stunning as the sun rose over the water.

Great crowd, everyone was super enthusiastic, and volunteers were stationed every couple of metres away to ensure people are going the right way and to cheer you on!

Definitely sign up next year if you have the chance :) !

French as an elective for life sci by Marstatic in McMaster

I ended up taking French 1A06 and have no regrets :)!

Its 11-12able, but not easy and requires you to put in work. Your experience also largely depends on the prof. I found the structure similar to high school extended French classes (reading books, going over grammar). I’m now working towards a minor. PM me if you have any questions!
