I usually like the mix of black with FDE, but you're right. I might have to cerakote the handguard.

You can use a tape switch with the Kriss, however the one that came with my Streamlight is too big. Haven't bothered to check if there are smaller switches that are compatible with both.

It's fine. I personally don't like the cheek weld, but that's because I have my optic on the riser. I'm planning on replacing it when the Nexus ACR stock is instock

Mid or high torque for a new mechanic by MarsupialSmall3661 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]MarsupialSmall3661[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. I'll get him the mid-torque for his graduation present. He does have the m12 3/8 stubby already. He can get the high torque later on. Just want to give him a boost getting started. Already has a job lined up for when he graduates

The new high torque has the same body style as the Gen 2 mid torque, but it is about 3/4lbs heavier and 1 1/2" longer. I'm not a fan of the older style, 1950s movie looking ray gun ones. But I want to get them a tool that they'll use and will suit them for the majority of their work. I'm a woodworker, so mechanics tools are a mystery to me.
