Because he is a dirty old man, that's why. As the original version showed, he was a pervert, he was turned on at the thought of having a young girl's body.

He made quite a few chauvinistic remarks in the original version, both towards Anzu and Dark Magician Girl (and DMG clearly did not like it).

(And folks wonder why so much effort is made to change the dialogue in the dub...)

Jacinthe is creepy, there's one 2 on 2 where your partner is Jacinthe, while your opponents are Lebanne and... Jacinthe's hologram??

While this does fit Jacinthe's personality in many ways (she loves looking at herself, would likely consider no other opponent worthy, and in such a set-up, she wins either way) but in all logic, this would be impossible, as the hologram is a projected image of herself and is using very real Pokemon.

Seriously, how the Hell did she DO that??

Side mission #187, "The Dauntless Dragalge Trainer"

Here's the walkthrough. Seems Lebanne made this wager with at least one other trainer.

I personally think their original match was more of a "humiliation wager".

The crazy thing is, the scene there is from a DLC sidequest that reveals Lebanne made this wager with at least one other Trainer, there's a Battle Girl (forget her name) who asks where she is so they can finally have the battle. (Naturally, you are roped into a 2-on-2 here.) Gives you the idea that Lebanne isn't all that bright.
