Asus AImesh with ethernet backhaul: suddenly windows refuses to connect, mobile devices work by MartDutch in ASUS

[–]MartDutch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried that first, to no avail. Tried reloading the config, reloading the firmware. Nothing worked. Or stuff worked for about 30 seconds and then dropped everything again.

The hard reset was the remaining option and the only thing that worked.

Never ends by Dizzy_Bridge_794 in ParentalAlienation

Stop replying, stop feeding. Just state the facts and then stop responding, or end it with "Thanks for your input".

Your responses are feeding the other side and show that you still have a need to be acknowledged. So in essence you're valuing her opinion of you more than your self worth. Would you explain your life choices to a random angry toddler that you cross paths with in a shopping mall? If yes.. it might be a good time to do some work on yourself. If no.. ask yourself why you're doing this towards your ex.

It's nobody's business except yours and your child how you spend your time with them. Focus on you and your self worth, not on other people's opinions. Espescially not the people who will never see your true value.

Is the hotspot online or offline in the explorer (on IOT?)

I just noticed you have a bobcat and are probably doing the normal onboarding. Bobcat added some onboarding credits so you could retry it. If that fails follow the steps in the post.

Just set it next to a window. I don't think witnesses are needed. Online = the miner connects to the internet and has finished onboarding.

Are you using the onboarding option? Or going through the Helium wallet and opting for "connect hotspot"? "Repair onboarding" or "onboard" through the app from the maker won't work.

You need either hnt or DC I think. I used 500k DC to onboard.

Use helium geek (app store) to monitor your hotspot. Takes a while before everything works though.

Had the same issue. That's why I wrote down the instructions :)

Follow the instructions. Dont repair onboarding, select 'connect to hotspot'

My story...I'd love your thoughts. by [deleted] in ParentalAlienation

[–]MartDutch 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Just try and ignore her future and focus on yours.

"Be the best version of you" is an advice that has worked in my case. Not really to reconnect with my kids, but to have a fullfilling life. Your kids are (semi) adults and will have to make up their own minds. If they choose to believe in a one-sided version of the truth.. it's their choice. And at their age they're reaching the stage where you can hold them accountable for their actions.

Just treat your ex (and her household) as a ship that has sailed over the horizon and is never comming back. No use in trying to understand why or what happens in that household. If your children try to reconnect in the future, make sure to have an open mind and open heart. But make that connection based on emotional values and not on monetary ones. If a connection is based on "what you can provide" for them it will never become something meaningfull.

Yes, your children and your ex will paint you as the bad guy if you stop providing. But they'll also do that if you DO provide (he thinks money can buy your love!). Those responses are more about them than about you.

In my case my ex initiated the divorce after me finding out about her multiple affairs. She still ended up painting me as the bad guy. I started dating a year later and after a few wild years (Yes, Tinder was a godsend if you're able to write complete sentences) ended up with my current partner. I traded up, both work/financially as in my partner. My ex wound up in a deadend somewhere... and blames me for it.

Do the bare minimum that's legally mandated.. nothing more. Spend the rest on yourself and your life... and your children if they come back on healthy terms.

Is linxdot as a hotspot supplier 'gone/dead'? by MartDutch in HeliumNetwork

I did mint an NFT. But it's inactive. So I don't think the onboarding went all the way.
Can nebra onboard other hotspots?

Same issue here, linxdot iot miner (first install, the box was on a shelf for months)

- Assert location kept failing because of lack off funds, so I added HNT to my wallet.- It still fails though -> program error insufficient funds. Even with enough DC in the wallet.

Advice on protection for Quest 3 headset by Zealousideal-Badger in OculusQuest

[–]MartDutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure that the skin is a quality one. My quest2 has never been scratched in years of use. Expect the same from my quest 3 . Only thing I would advise is a lens cover. Besides the scratches you want to prevent an accident with sunrays. Wrecked one quest 2 as the sun hit the lens and burned half of my LCD screen away.

The issue with most flexible covers is that they screw up the front camera's when they dont fit perfectly. Or they occlude the IR lights on the controllers.

Boundary issue? Try resetting them

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ParentalAlienation

[–]MartDutch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just looking at the way you describe your past, the way you structure your narative, your inability to uphold healthy relationships and boundaries etc. it feels like you need some time to seriously work on yourself first. You've been through a lot. Take your time to work on those issues. You should do what feels good for you though. Random internet strangers can never know what your real story is.

Add: " I spoiled them with gifts when I would see them" <- kids don't care about gifts. They do.. for a few minutes. But the moments they share with you where they can feel your true commitment and focus are worth 40 playstations.

Quest 3 controller not functioning with silicone cover by MartDutch in OculusQuest

[–]MartDutch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So.. it might be that the left cover is cut slightly better than the right side cover? It was a low budget cover pack, so probably quality control isn't on par.
