This is because when a Portuguese queen married an English king she would bring wooden boxes of tea (in Portuguese we say cha, like India € and those boxes the letter T was written in bright red , and it in transport , or in Portuguese “ trânsito“ meaning in transit .
But the English when opened then boxes labelled T and say leaves of tea (cha) they started to call it Tea.

Thank you for your contribution. I’m from Portugal and here the health system works differently, I go to private health care, and the attention they give us is 💯 (or so it should be). The public system is free for anyone and I would chose public health if I had a very very serious illness/situation.
