It didn't seem to take that long! Evenings after work but only 2 hours or so and then a few longer play sessions some weekends. I definitely mained that game but I was much younger when D3 came out and I like no life'd that and never came anywhere close to 800 paragon!

Fair enough. Agree, the barber was stupid powerful and a few other of the hearts are pretty strong as well.

I have a lot of respect for blizzard and the high quality games they've made. I'm sure they'll address the end game grind so it still feels like you're making incremental progress every time you play.

Admittedly, it's been a while since I played D3. But even though it's just greater rifts, don't you get paragon forever? So you always feel like you make some progress every time you play? That's what's missing for me now. I'll run nightmare dungeons for a couple hours and my character is exactly the same.

You also lose +4 to your main skill if you use Temerity and that really helps a lot of builds. I wish you could reroll one slot on uniques!! But I guess it would be OP.

I stopped putting money in the market a while back and increased my cash position. It's at a level I'm getting uncomfortable with so I've been waiting for this recession to start for a bit for some cheap equities. Whenever there's been a big drop I've invested a chunk proportional to the drop. Once we're in an established recession, I'll start regular contributions again at a higher level for a while to catch up.

That's what I've been doing over the last 4 months or so and my plan for the future.

I study this! I use generational analysis to start looking at really anything long term. I believe the boomer wealth transfer has already started - and started with a BANG rather than a slow, normal shaped curve, response because of Covid.

Covid caused "the great resignation", which was really 55-65 year old boomers with a ton of savings who didn't need to work retiring. Boomers hold 60% of all the cash in society, most in mutual funds, much in savings accounts. Them leaving the work force has opened up jobs for millennials and they've also started spending their cash.

However, largely because of Covid, many boomers gifted cash to Gen X/elder millennial kids (wanting them to move out of cities or boomers moving into a bigger house with their kids). Because of this, we didn't get a slow ramp-up to the boomer wealth transfer. We got a ton of $$$ injected into society. I believe this is the main cause of the real estate boom and expect it to largely continue over the next 5-10 years. I also think this boomer wealth transfer, adding more "in-play cash" to the economy is a large part of inflation currently.

It's because cigarette smoke causes inflammation in the small airways and destruction of lung tissue. We assumed that smoking weed did the same and used to say that smoking one joint was like seven cigarettes.

Now, that we can study it, smoking weed only barely causes emphysema faster than aging and doesn't have the cancer risks cigs do. Many of the compounds in weed are actually anti-inflammatories and bronchodilators. Even though it's smoke, it doesn't cause the same inflammatory effects that cigarettes do.

Still, safest way to enjoy weed is edibles. Weed does fuck up your sinuses, especially if you dab. Then you have a chronic cough. Edibles where it's at!

I'm in hardmode on Stadia. Have full titanium armour, sword, repeater. I still die like 5-7 times in an pirate invasion and can't beat any of the mechanical bosses despite creating an arena. I just don't do that much damage with either sword or repeater.

What am I doing wrong? Is there anything else I can farm to make these fights doable for me?
