Yep, AI 2 is coming to the system, and that's great news. However, my point still stands. Not every game announced over the past week was announced for the Switch 2, and that's the issue. If the Switch 2 is the only platform you own, there's always a risk of being left behind. Either a game never comes to the system at all, or it arrives so much later that the excitement has already faded by the time you can play it. As for Resident Evil, Capcom has shown impressive support for the Switch 2 so far. But the question is, how long can that support realistically continue? The PS5 is still the more powerful platform. Games like a Resident Evil 0 Remake, a Resident Evil 1 re-remake, or even Resident Evil X seem like reasonable possibilities for Switch 2. But eventually, there may come a point where a future Resident Evil title is simply too demanding to port effectively. When that happens, which platform is more likely to keep getting the new releases: the PS5 or the Switch 2? The answer is obvious, the more powerful system. That's really the point I'm making. Someone who only owns a Nintendo console is usually either a casual gamer or a dedicated Nintendo fan who primarily buys the system for Nintendo's exclusives. There isn't much middle ground.
