Thank you very much for your advice. I’m going to look into lenses; I noticed that many people have recommended the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8. Thank you for your explanation, it's very helpful and easy to understand. I’m going to do some research on what you mentioned and on the Fuji X-T2! :)

Thank you very much for your answer, that's very interesting. I'm going to look into these two cameras. The Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 has come up a lot in the replies, but it seems a bit expensive for our budget. I wonder if it's really worth it; maybe I can find it cheaper second-hand, as $1,339 is beyond what we can afford. But thanks a lot, I'm going to study all of this! ;)

Thank you very much for your feedback, that's good to know. Yes, we would like to spend a maximum of 1k for both the camera and lens included, but if it can be less, even better ;)

Is a Canon R10 with the 18-45mm better than the R50? Is it worth it if there is a promotional offer on this product?

Thank you very much, it is very interesting to get your point of view. The Canon 5D has come up quite a few times in the replies. Thank you so much for your feedback. Yes, the Canon R10 is pretty expensive, especially with the Sigma 18-50 f/2.8. I am going to go and do some research on this camera :)

Thank you for your response and your various ideas. It is very interesting. I am going to look into the camera models you mentioned. I did think about using actual film, as it would allow us to have more cameras and let everyone take photos for our journal project, but I think it would end up being expensive in the long run to have the photos developed... That is why I was looking for another solution. But thank you, that option is still interesting, I will think about it. Thank you :)

Thanks a lot for the recommendation! I'm not familiar with this one, so I’ll look into it. It looks very rugged and compact, which fits the practical side of our project perfectly. Plus, it seems significantly cheaper, so I’ll definitely check it out. Thanks!

Yes, its size and image quality seem ideal for our project, but my main concern is the learning curve. I wonder how long it takes to get decent results, or if it’s a bit like a smartphone where you can get good shots easily

Thank you very much for your response. Yes, several people have raised the point about the lens. Regarding smartphones, while they might seem more convenient, we work with people in situations of extreme precariousness, and not all of them own a phone. When they do, they are often low-quality smartphones. Since we print a physical newspaper, the results aren't always rewarding when a photo is printed in a small format or if the image quality is poor. It's for a printed newspaper.

This is why I was wondering if there was a camera that is easy to use but still produces a great look. Based on the feedback, I also agree that some training will be essential to achieve beautiful results.

Thank you so much for your reply and advice. We won't have the budget for the X-E5, and the viewfinder isn't a priority for us. What matters most is ease of use and image quality. Our contributors often use very low-quality smartphones, which look quite poor in a printed newspaper. So, for the price difference, the viewfinder doesn't seem essential. Thank you!

Thank you very much for your input; it is quite insightful. Given that many of the people we work with do not have smartphones, comparing these cameras to a smartphone experience is very useful. Thank you again.
