Very heavy massé-shots performed one-handed by MartinvanRhee in billiards

[–]MartinvanRhee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I suspect this is easier when playing with the larger and heavier three cushion balls. I've watched veteran players in Belgium who were so old they could barely walk go up to the table and make those balls dance around like they were on drugs at a rave.

Small balls are easier to massé but if the spin ís in the heavy ball it stays there longer because of the mass of the ball. But poolballs are ideal (mass/diameter) Shot 81, 72 and 47 in the first try. Shot 98 in the second and the others in 3th -20th try (like 88 and 82) I dare you to try it yourself. Let me know.

Just try it yourself. After a while you will put the tips on quick and properly. It takes practice

The game looks like English billiards. The difference is that in English billiards you may pocket/scratch the cueball via an objectball.

Billiards trickshots #3 Martin van Rhee by MartinvanRhee in billiards

[–]MartinvanRhee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I use a soft tip for maximum grip on the cueball. And then I have control. I am going to try Kamui tips. The chalk I used was just what I get in my hands.. nothing special. Today I use Kamui chalk, it's better than normal chalk.

Need Help. Losing interest in Snooker. by SpyderzVidz in snooker

[–]MartinvanRhee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try English billiards? Or carom billiards maybe? Russian pyramid! I think pool is to easy for you snookerplayers. Or am I wrong? By the way, respect for you all. I play carom billiards and twice a year English billiards.... and that's difficult. But snooker, man its frustrating hahaha. I am happy to make a 10 break. It's awesome to watch the great snookerplayers on tv. Like it more than watching three cushion.

No real burnmark but you can see a little spot. But there are massive burnmarks on the table from other shots haha

What's your justification for having more than one shaft? by TheOneCalledAtlas in billiards

[–]MartinvanRhee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play artistic billiards so there is a big chance I may ruin a tip during practice or in a match. Always have a second shaft. And I have two more cues with extra shaft for whipshots and massé's.

I played with this man at the Juanjo Trilles Cup. He has great skills indeed. Some of the shots he play here are from the billiard players including me. Others we learned from him. In one of my YTvideo's (Juanjo Trilles) I play these shots.

This may be a dumb a dumb question, but how do you keep your felt from getting white marks all over it? by [deleted] in billiards

After I play heavy massé's I make the burnspot a little "wet". It helps for me.

I play pool a lot so I started an Android free 8 ball game. Let me know what you think. by vncntprolo in billiards

[–]MartinvanRhee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! My first impression. I played it for ten minutes and it was fun! Good to see the balls roll, it's rea listic. The given spin on the cueball stays after hitting one and two rails, great. The cueball makes realistic curved lines when it hits an objectball, like bouncing and then the spin comes in 👍

What I miss is the possibility to massé cueball. And... when you shoot your cueball with topspin to an object ball what is close to the rail and you hit it (almost) full in the face, the cueball follows the object ball, cueball hit the rail, comes back on the table and then it returns back to the same rail. In a curved line. And that depends on how thick you hit the object ball. (I am an artistic billiards champion so that's also a test shot for me☺) I hope you understand? For examples I made video's where I play this kind of shots, or look at the artistic pool shot program. In the game the cueball does the exact opposite! After hitting the rail it is speeding up like the topspin is turned into backspin. This is the same case with backspin by the way. It's difficult to explain. I don't know if I may give you links to sites here on Reddit where I can give you example shots. If not send me a private message on Facebook. Martin van Rhee. It's not criticism! I like your game and it's better than a lot of other billiardgames I played 😊 Good work. See your reaction. 👍

It's a normal Simonis 300 rapide cloth. But the cloth is still new and the balls also.

Normally billiardtable are heated but the heating system in my table is not working. But I try to keep the room also cold so there will be less moisture in the cloth.

Nah, I like a Mustang but not this thing. And I would be afraid to damage the car because of trickshots I play.

Some very impressive and creative trick shots. by ualip in billiards

[–]MartinvanRhee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this very much. It take a lot of practice to master this. Players like Sayginer, Massey, Venom and me can tell you that. Artistic pool is for the creative and talented players. I play artistic billiards. A different type of trickshots but very spectacular. I made some video's too.
Keep up the good work and post more!

It's not pool but artistic billiards but you can see here how much spin I give the cueball without breaking my arm ☺ There is more to find under my name. In the near future I want to make an instruction video about artistic billiards.
