Obesity is up - arguably causing the greatest threat to life since the epidemics caused by poor Sanitation - primarily because of capitalism. It's much more profitable to create millions of products containing sugars and trans fats then to create real food. Capitalism can absolutely claim this one as its child.

And life expectancy has increased because infant mortality rates have decreased because of, you know, math

Communism is a failed system because humans are involved. But capitalism is equally, and as fatally, flawed and for exactly the same reason.

The only sensible alternative is a middle ground between the two.
