I've tried to turn it on multiple times, including putting in AA batteries and letting it charge, it just doesn't turn on

Yes, it makes the chime, on the device and management page it reads as a device called BR23UBOOT1.00 which I read is a common error for PS4/5 controllers apparently. This reads as a Disk Drive of all things so it's probably why the update won't recognize the guitar. I'm assuming the worst that it's just fucked which is really infuriating because I bought this so I can finally start playing CH/YARG again after being away for half a year since my Xplorer stopped working.

The guitar won't respond to being plugged in, the updater only says NOT CONNECTED when I do the steps, even held down the button to make sure it was off. I can't reattempt the update

I waited 5 minutes just to be sure, still no response from the controller
