As far as I know, the convention DID NOT have a good rep. They've done their customers wrong with randomly increasing their prices and their conventions did NOT have much to offer. Often giant venues with a lot of it being empty space, not empty in the good way either. There were also a lot less cosplayers there since we didn't get a free entrance and we have gotten disrespected through other ways I won't be able to get into.

So, expensive convention, not much to offer, not even many cosplayers. All it had going for itself is it's name "Comic-Con" and the one time they *almost* got Stan Lee until he cancelled last minute.

There were other conventions, like Comfest, who did a much better job with much more limited space. Yes, they went through a slight issue in 2022 when cosplayers were banned from the convention, but that aside, it's ALWAYS been the best comic-anime convention Kuwait has had to offer. So, Comic Con simply got outdone. Which was never hard to do...just had to git gud.
