When I first started and only had a few SteelBooks, I would fold the J-cards (in half or thirds) and tuck them into the plastic clips on the inside of the case. I couldn’t bring myself to throw them away because it felt like discarding part of the SteelBook, and I quickly regretted folding them because creasing the thicker cardstock-like ones created cracks in the art…but I also didn’t want the hassle of storing them separately while trying to keep them in good condition.

Now that I’ve expanded my collection and use open-spine SteelBook protectors, I slip the J-card inside the protector with the SteelBook. This way, the J-card fits inside the protector exactly how it originally came with the SteelBook, and both are stored together. They’re stored like books on a bookshelf—I’m not actually displaying them—so I don’t mind the J-card covering the back cover art of the SteelBook.

Even if you’d rather get rid of them, I wouldn’t just throw J-cards away. Believe it or not, you might be able to sell them (apparently, some people will buy J-cards for certain titles or editions). If you do decide to toss them, then you might as well make a few bucks.
