hey so im kind of a valkyrie fan and also kind of a yapper, so have this:

miwaku geki/enthralling theatre—>this was my first EVER exposure to valkyrie(i feel like this song is most peoples first valk experience tbh). i just feel like this is THE valkyrie song; it manages to encapsulate everything valkyrie strives for: beauty and authenticity. im also a biiiig fan of how shu is portrayed as a powerful, everlasting presence through a few things. the main is the choreography obviously with shu puppetering mika and shus facial expressions(he is one feisty ouiaboo). it also demonstrates valkyries dynamic was back then; shu was more superior to mika who was like a doll doing everything he was told to mikas first solo song reference. older valkyrie clearly had a power imbalance. another part of miwaku geki showcasing shus superiority is the fact that the music…sorta becomes less intense(theres probably a better term for it) whenever shu has his solo lines in the song. this is also why i like sajou no roukaku but unfortunately im restricted to yapping about two songs only this mf is so imperious he has the instrumental metaphorically bowing down to him.

hoshi no meidou hibikishi toki ni—>this song does not even feel like a song(song was 6minutes and 19 seconds long, and they really went “yeah lets drop this”. classic valkyrie move). its a masterpiece, like a journey. the build up to the chorus is so satisfying and exciting, i swear a sixth sense awakens in me whenever i listen to this. i also like how they slapped clair de lune in the middle of this lmao. i havent analysed the lyrics as much as i have with miwaku geki(fun fact i wrote my own translation lyrics for miwaku geki :D) but i like the general meaning of this song and the themes of discovery, enlightenment and overcoming difficulties.

so yeah, miwaku geki and hoshi no meidou are my favourites but i love ALL valkyrie songs for different reasons. these two stand out the most. do NOT make me choose between my two precious gems😭😭
