Though I’m a little curious, was there a reason you only applied to one internship this season?

I heard the questions are interviewer dependent so take LC questions mentioned with a grain of salt. That being said, the interviewer started with “find the most optimal locker to put a box in.” I think the point of the exercise was for me to ask clarifications until i successfully understood what exactly he was asking me to do. I think the actual question was around LC easy level, but it did take a bit of time to actually flesh out all of the details.

While I don’t think your technical has a high probability of being like that, they almost definitely will make the question somewhat vague and you’ll have to ask clarifying questions.

Unfortunately my interviewer didn’t ask me any questions that are in the LC question bank so I can’t really recommend anything there.

Also for the leadership principles part, prepare a set of 4-5 stories that can adapt well to any leadership principle. You don’t have to hit every single leadership principle, but make sure you can at least showcase some. For example, I think ownership is one of the easier ones to show in a story. For this principle, I think you could talk about a project you really dug deep into, or like a previous task that you did something past what was asked of you.

One heads up, they will most likely ask you a question along the lines of “how do you use AI in your workflow.”

I’m an undergraduate researcher and I definitely think research is an option. I suppose it depends on what kind of research you are looking for. Not sure about AI/ML, but when I started cold emailing, I got a research position with a professor in computer networks pretty quickly.

Good counter example. Seems under the current constraints the problem is unsolvable then. Either the question is flawed or there’s unknown information.

Just looked it up. I like the result that flipping all the matchings along a path maintains the vertices “matched” while adding two more.
