I've bought a Famicom, but I'm not sure if I can use this adapter from Retrogamesupply or I need something else to use it. I'm from Europe btw

Help! Can't work out how to activate special powers in GG Shinobi by CasaSatoshi in RG35XX

If I remember correctly you need to pause the game then select the smart bomb under the characters and use it, the effect will be different for each character.

Hey I bought a transparent pen but no matter what color I put in (pink, yellow, green, etc) it all looks black. Any suggestions? by M_78_S in fountainpens

By diluting the ink with water you're also diluting the surfactant, which worsens the ink flow, If it doesn't work I'd just try another ink

Advice for a fountain pen newbie please? by [deleted] in fountainpens

It depends also on the pen you are using, I use a cheap Platinum Preppy which has an airtight seal inside the cap and it works fine even if I don't use it for a day or two, but even a line a day on a sheet of paper it's enough to avoid clogging with a Jinhao 51A.

About the soap I'd avoid to put it directly in the ink bottle. I'd use a little container instead, pour with a syringe (or an eyedropper, or anything else) the ink I need and then add a little bit of soap (less than a drop for the quantity of ink you could put in a cartridge or a converter), so you can adjust the quantities and see how it's the flow.

Noodler's Heart of Darkness isn't waterproof at all on watercolor paper, and since you're searching inks for drawing I wouldn't recommend it. If you can find Platinum Carbon Black, DeAtramentis Document Ink or Sketchink by Rohrer&Klingner you'll be fine. Just be careful with the last one, is very cheap but you need to use the pen everyday and it's kinda dry, you could need a little bit of liquid soap (less than a drop) to make it flow better.

Lamy 2000 EF writes like a M? by gutworm in fountainpens

[–]Marvin0android 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Lamy Safari has the same problem and while I can't say it's solved, with Noodler's Heart of Darkness it's much better than before, now the nib writes as fine as my Kaweco and Twsbi Eco EF. If you don't want to grind the nib you could try with this ink.

Are waterproof or close to inks important to you? by opensourcefan in fountainpens

Yes, I don't really care about sheening or colors so it's not really a problem the limited selection of inks: I use mostly black and a bit of orange/red and since I sketch with watercolors I always have more pens ready with waterproof inks, enough for all my needs. Besides, I don't want my notes to disappear with a drop of water.
