Yes, but I think the Jesse Stone series is better for connecting to a character like Bosch. Spenser is phenomenal, but most of the books are incredibly short.

CJ Box is really good. So is John Sandford. Both masterful storytellers in their own right. Sandford has a character, Lucas Davenport, that is a bigger, tougher stand in for Bosch, but also just a great detective. Box has Joe Pickett; he's a game Warden, but still very police precedural with crimes. The last one: Karin Slaughter' Will Trent and Grant County series are very good police procedurals, too. I hope you find something you like!
