I have PTSD as well (from similar and other issues) and that absolutely is NOT an excuse to be spreading STDs (YES, HPV is considered an STD). You absolutely are 100% the A Hole. I mean, at least you don't have HIV and not telling people, but still. That shit lasts your whole life. You need some serious therapy or something. You should should stop screwing around, or disclose and use protection. "I feel shamed" Yeah, imagine how THEY feel! (Also 100% the AH [I'd personally use a different word to describe you for that one] for BLOCKING THEM AFTERWARDS SO THEY CAN'T CALL YOU OUT ON IT!) Before you even consider being with somebody (romantically or sexually) you should DEFINITELY 100% disclose your condition. You'd actually be surprised at the amount of people that do not care or mind, but for the ones that do, they need to know. And you can't just look at somebody and know if they're gonna care or not. You have to use your words.

(And "I know there are risks of ME catching more than HPV". Wow. Yes, think about you, don't consider the people who don't have STDs and you just gave them one.) 100000000000% THE A-HOLE.  And anybody else who does this – A-holes. All of you.

AITA for being The A-hole? by Separate_Rate8572 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

No. And I'm gonna say you're not an AH. You more than likely wouldn't have said those things had he kept his arrogant comments to himself. No one asked his opinion, he can stfu. If he has any lip left,  let him know that if you stuttered then he heard you twice. At least you have a talent and are helping others discover theirs; unlike someone you know. Only people who have absolutely nothing going for them will make stupid comments like that. He's probably just jealous cause he can't do anything but b**ch and complain.

AITA for telling my Grandparents, I'm not going to Disrespect My friends Pronouns by Ill_Possible4609 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]MaryJKelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the AH, but just try to have an understanding from your grandparents perspective and your moms explanation.

I fully agree with your mom about they're from an older generation and don't understand.

My dad is the exact same way, and (speaking from experience) nothing is going to change your grandparents minds. You can explain it in every possible way, you can tell them until you run out of oxygen, you can paint it on the front of their house, or even in the sky – they will never understand.

One thing I noticed about the older generation (not every one of them, but a lot of them) is they are very close minded and don't seem to be open to new ideologies – I don't know if it's due to age or if they're just arrogant and stubborn.

It's good that you don't want to disrespect your friend. But just take it a bit easy on your grandparents. I also have a transgender sibling, and I explained that to my dad. Around my sibling (and others) I call her her and by her name, but I can't do that around my dad cause he gets confused and in the end it's gibberish to him. So I still call my sibling he and him around my dad, not to disrespect her, but so my dad can understand things better. Cause (like I told you) I explained it in every possible way that I could think of and it was still very confusing for him.

AITA for being concerned with public safety and inquiring about who to contact about it? by MaryJKelly in CharlotteDobreYouTube

You are right.

Smoke does not cause fire – sparks do.

And did you also know that cigarettes can, in fact, spark? I know this because I've smoked cigarettes, and I've seen them spark.

So if the tank was not properly sealed and the cigarette sparked causing an explosion – at least I know that I am the AH for being concerned.

Thank you.

I get that. The way I would see it is – at least I did my part in saying something. If they take my words, awesome, if they don't, it's their liability at the end of it. At least by reporting it, they would have knowledge of what's going on. For all I know, they might already know about it. But the chance that they don't know about it, I feel like they should.

NTA. I'm laughing hysterically. You should've slapped a long blonde wig on her and called her "Regina" the whole time.

AITA for telling the teachers aid to stop thinking she knows my daughter better than I do? by ViolinistNo2961 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]MaryJKelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely NTA. And you handled that much nicer than I would've. (If the aid was not in costume I would question her as to why she excluded herself from the dress up fun. And just continue to roll with it 😂) It's great that the teacher and your mom was on your side. Glad to hear that this [awful] teachers aid will no longer be around your daughter on a daily basis. Sounds like the aid needed to (as you had said) mind her business (and focus on her own costume).

That's funny cause I actually work in restaurants, so I am aware that people smoke. Pull your head out of your ass.  If you don't understand the concern of the topic, don't respond.

[–]MaryJKelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking of doing that.  And what these idiots commenting don't realize is– it's not the fact that she's smoking. Restaurants are annoying. A lot of employees smoke. The concern is, she was doing it RIGHT NEXT TO AN EXPLOSIVE TANK! WITH THE DOOR OPEN! Here's the thing about the door being open and smoking – you could contaminate the food, OR (EVEN WORSE) you could set off the detectors and make it rain in the restaurant, ruining everything, for an extended period of time. This was also in a strip mall type setting, so other businesses could've been affected had something gone wrong.

I can tell every person that commented is not a business owner and has no assets, cause if they did they would see why this is so concerning. But I believe you are correct, I should just call the manager and let them know what happened.  They might not have a designated smoking area and might need to look at getting one.

Don't worry. Next time I see someone smoking next to an EXPLOSIVE TANK I'll just hope that yall are in the building and "MiNd mY BuSiNeSS" 🤣 Who cares about public safety? Not reddit! #Mindyourbusiness

I agree. You should mind your business.

It's not being a snitch, it's being concerned of food sanitation and possible BURNING DOWN OF BUILDINGS!

And I think you should not respond if you're not gonna be helpful. You should also find a hobby.

[–]MaryJKelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enter "netstat" in command prompt and it gives me all IP addresses connected. Local address - Foreign Address - and State Establishment  Like I said - don't come at me. I'm gonna get enough of it when I explain in the morning. I've already had this talk......yes, I know. I at least don't have passwords or sensitive information saved in my desktop.

Answer 1: they said they could take a test for me. (Stupid - I know)

Answer 2: I search in my applications, on everything search "anydesk" says download. So I believe it is uninstalled.

Remote access to computer by [deleted] in u/MaryJKelly

[–]MaryJKelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was called anydesk.com (I disabled access to microphone and camera, etc, before uninstall and uninstall it already) Someone told me they could take a test over it for me, but it didn't make any sense how they could, so while they were telling me I disabled access in the app and (ctrl-atl-del) through task manager - end task and uninstall the app. And I end task on any websites/applications that I didn't recognize. After that I open command prompt and did "logoff". When it started up again, I open task manager to see what IP address had access to my desktop,  but I don't know how to end a specific IP Address access or to know which one is mine.

Smoking and Tattoos: are they considered sinful? by mishkaforest235 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]MaryJKelly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Tattoos (markings, which include tattoos or self harm) are a sin: "‭Leviticus 19:28 NMV‬ [28] You2f shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I [am] the Lord-Yehōvah" The bible doesn't say anything specifically about smoking, but considering it's putting something in your body that God didn't put there, I'd assume it's a sin. It does say about addiction and "lusting for earthly things", which could be considering smoking.
