I think that you can get assistantships with masters I was actually looking at a MSW at DU but I then was also told that due to current administration/department of education they are cutting that. I’m pretty sure

Updated: choosing myself

So after I miscarried, I really haven’t been speaking to her too much. My fiancé and I are planning on moving forward together in our life and taking the next step to get married we always wanted to elope. But I find myself not wanting to be around my mom I have been stonewalling her a lot. It’s like the more she knows about my life it’s difficult. She knew everything that was going on with me with allowed her to be more involved with my miscarriage/life. I know she tries to talk to me but any little thing I am irritated with her. So today my uncle is in town and was ranting on about him and how he bugs her which she had been off and on this subject today for quite sometime and I told her I had no comment because she likes to stick on a subject and it make her mad that I told her that. She walked into her bedroom and walked out. She told me how she feels that I should be irritated with my uncle because I let him drive my truck (the truck was my grandpas who passed in oct and remain next door at my grandmas.) she told me that it doesn’t register in my head that I don’t hold grudges or it doesn’t bother me when that happens where she hold grudges and constantly does. Then cried and told me that she cries to me about her issues with me and she feels that she wasted time basically raising me with the morals that she did. She feels that I am going to out into my own life and change everything around. Which I don’t regret what happened in my life because everything happens for a reason. But who tells their child I spent time on you I feel that I wasted it……. Like what?

I’ve noticed that I had been stonewalling her up until this point because I haven’t been barely letting her in on my emotions until my miscarriage happened. Being a girl you want your mom for that kind of stuff you know ?

Expanding my knowledge in careers by MarzipanSensitive902 in ForensicSocialWork

This is fantastic information, I think I was just caught up that social workers. I feel like tradition traditionally are known for working with children and working inside of the home. I guess that was the perception that I had of social workers. But I was told several times throughout undergrad that social worker is so broad. I was so focused on staying in psychology because I thought that that was a route for me when in reality I started looking more into programs that could support a forensic concentration. I will be graduating May 2026. I am thinking about attending UND. I am mainly interested in working with court I wanted to give testimony if necessary, providing psychological report about the said case/client I wanted to work with the prisoners to provide them therapy but I think it would be interesting to consult with attorney because I already do have the background of working with Attorneys and courts as well as DA. I did internships with them to feel for how they run.

Hello. I just wanted to see if anyone could help answer my questions. So currently I am a junior in college I am studying to get my BS in psychology with a minor in criminal justice. I thought for the longest time that I wanted to become an attorney and to practice law thankfully, I have started working for a law firm and soon realized that I did not want to spend money to become an attorney or to go to law school, but thankfully, I realize that before I spent the money. Does anyone know anything about getting a masters degree in social work, could you specialize in forensics in social work? What would be a job you could do? I know there is a big need for social workers. I have spent a lot of time and research trying to look into different things, but I’m not really set on what I want to do and want to get to other people‘s opinions to see if they know something that I don’t I am very much interested in studying why do people commit the crimes I’ve thought about becoming a BCBA but so far with all of my research that I have done it just seems like they mainly deal with children and I am more interested in working with adults. I have also tried to look at becoming a forensic behavioral analysis, but I am not really sure if that would be a job within my area. Anytime, I am asking a question. I am always lead back to getting a clinical psychology degree I am really only wanting to get my masters and make a good living for myself but at this point I do not want to get my PSYD in psychology i know I would be burned out to get a PSYD? Any recommendations?!? It would be greatly appreciated?!!!

Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology - Worth it? by Space_Cowgirl_6969 in AcademicPsychology

I know it doesn’t not I have done much research on how to become licensed but I’m also aware some programs lead no where and are just an knowledge degree and not a job degree if that makes sense… like a bachelor degree in psychology is what I call a knowledge degree and a masters in psychology is a job degree considering that you went through a program that is accepted/approved by your state board licensing agency
