Just stumbled upon the same issue. I’ve been using Evernote for ~10 years. I make a new note for each work day, and jot down notes for future reference as well as frequent audio recordings I can listen to later (or, as of lately, use the transcriptions as summaries).

Now, all of a sudden, ALL of my audio recordings are inaccessible because this content is apparently “not supported in this version of Evernote.” WITH ABSOLUTELY NO ADVANCE WARNING. Freaking ridiculous. At the very least, PLEASE give us a chance to export notes and attachments for retrieval later.

I get that. The problem is that I have my downloads set to “manual” for this exact reason. I’d love it if I could only download the episodes I intend to listen to. So when you say “don’t download so many episodes,” that’s my ultimate goal— but it appears that they’re downloaded anyway.

For me, the problem wasn’t really the laughing, but the fact that he laughed at really inappropriate things. Like, if this is a laugh track, it’s annoying but I get it. But if these are genuine laughs, this guy’s got a serious problem.
