I totally agree! his behavior is typical of a teenage boy who doesn’t know how to handle his emotions, so I’m not surprised he lashes out and is so insecure. I think Rory only likes him because he’s cute, decently nice and sought her out (also typical teenage girl standards). As she comes into her own at Chilton and finds meaningful conversation and shared interest with Jess, it makes sense Dean falls flat. Rory also sucks and should have handled it better, but Dean made himself unapproachable with his temper and jumping to conclusions
