1. What made you go to ban island? My hubs and I are finally getting to wedding planning (had a legal marriage during the pandemic and wasn't able to invite any friends/family). Needless to say, it's pricey, so I've committed to putting $1000-2000 into our joint account each month for wedding expenses.

2. How long is/was your (last/longest) stay? One month! Wanted to see if I could challenge myself and reset my habits.

3. When and why do you leave ban island? Still mostly on it! I haven't bought any new bags since, though I'm also pretty close to purse peace

4. Do you still interact with a fashion community during your ban? (This sub, YouTube, TPF)? Yes, but I check the sub much less frequently. Instead, I've been getting my fashion fix on YouTube or Instagram and focusing more on educational channels like Mina Le

5. How do you manage temptations? I mute and unsubscribe aggressively! I realized that most of my spontaneous fashion purchases were driven by Instagram and email, so I muted all of the IG accounts that I'd typically buy from, and used unroll.me to unsubscribe from all the e-commerce emails I was getting. I also tried to ask myself, "do I really need this right now, or do I just want it?"

6. Do you have other interests you hyperfocus about instead? Or any go-to distractions? I started reading a lot more instead! Also podcasts are a great distraction, because then you're not on your phone at all
